i personally don’t like Jeid because it feels like it came out of nowhere and they couldn’t stick with any of it. like spencer saying she’s the only one to call him “spence”… then we see literally EVERYONE call him spence? i get it, people pick up on habits but if the writers wanted to that be a JJ and Reid thing, then why ensure every other character also calls him that? I also think it was strange that he just randomly decided to spring he liked her, took her on a date, anddddd literally nothing happened. they mentioned it once the next episode and spence said he didn’t wanna talk about it. + JJ showed literally no interest, im pretty sure she thought it was a friendly outing. Then, to me at least, she acted more like a mother (cue the “boys behave” scene when morgan smacked the back of spencer’s head and spence complained to JJ like a kid sibling would do to their mom (can confirm I was that kid)).

i think the reason i dislike a majority of the ships in criminal minds is because the bau feels very familial to me, especially involving spencer. especially in the early seasons spencer was always seen as the little kid of the group and i think that gave him very specific relationships with everyone; morgan acting like an older brother; hotch, gideon, and even rossi becoming like father figures to him; and i also believe him and garcia have a very sibling-esque friendship, and it thrives during that episode with cane reid and garcia working together from quantico.

mileven would’ve been a good ship if mike hadn’t kissed her in season 1, if it was a slow burn and jane got to learn who she was first, and if mike didn’t do all that gay shit with Will.

the fact that there are nearly 400 slides of proof for Byler, thousands upon thousands of posts about parallels and analyses and theories and just goddamn hope and love for what could’ve been a beautifully written relationship, a phenomenally well down representation of queer love—all of that down the fucking drain

“mike doesn’t know will destroyed castle byers” i raise you, Mike noticed when he found Will after their fight in the rain, but was more worried about Will and the mindflayer being back in the moment. But, when Will leaves for California, Mike goes back. He stares at the photo Will tore up, split down the middle between the two of them, and sobs. Body-wracking sobs, flooded with guilt for ever carelessly shouting those words at Will. He spends the rest of the summer rebuilding it. He disappears some afternoons, curled up in the fort, staring at the entrance like Will might come back. Like he might duck down and step in with a laugh at the subpar framework, and grin at Mike like its tragedy meant nothing. Like Will hadn’t destroyed it over the words he said.

thinking about mike and will in their shared apartment/dorm trying to make their own pizza from scratch for the first time instead of blowing more cash on the same shitty pizza.
