“I can’t- I can’t deal with you right now..” Woody said defeatedly, fingers pressing on his temple as he watched Buzz peek around the tyre as if keeping watch.

Buzz raised a hand, as if signalling Woody to keep quiet. Woody turned around, holding everything together to not throw a tantrum, but he’s slowly considering just doing it.

Woody grumbled, “Alright- I don’t care, we’re getting on this truck whether you like it or-” but when Woody turned around, Buzz was gone.

“Buzz?” Woody called out.

Woody looks around and finally sees Buzz sneaking towards the tables. Woody grips the air, imagining it’s Buzz and he’s choking the life out of him. Woody then makes his way to Buzz, tailing behind him.

Buzz rolled and ducked under the nearest table, the tablecloth covering any sign that he was under. He peeks out, scanning the area to make sure no humans spot him.

Woody made it just in time behind Buzz, “Good, we’re all here.” Buzz nodded as he turned to Woody.

“Why did you leave!? We need to get back to the truck if we wanna get back to Andy!” Woody gestures to the truck behind them.

“We don’t need the truck,” Buzz stated.

Woody laughed, “We don’t need the truck-what do you mean we don’t need the truck?!?!” he grits his teeth as he glares daggers at the shorter male.

“Oh wait- don’t tell me we’re gonna fly back to Andy’s place,” Woody started sarcastically.

“Negative. I found a better ride out of here.” Buzz stated as he motioned towards something.

Woody’s eyes follow and see a claw machine in the shape of a rocket ship. It took Woody a moment to realise and after he did he glared at Buzz.

“You think-?!!?”

“Slow down your vocals, Sheriff. We don't want to blow our cover.” Buzz interrupts firmly.

Woody hands ball up into fists, “Buzz, listen to me! We’re- wait!” He tries to reach for Buzz but Buzz ducks behind a game booth.

Woody darts after Buzz. Buzz had to pause again to make sure the coast was clear. Woody has had enough and grabbed Buzz from the back.

“This is ridiculous! That rocket is taking us nowhere! We need to get back to the truck now!” Woody snapped and he dragged Buzz back.

Buzz fought against the pulling, “Sheriff, you don’t seem to comprehend that that rocket will get us home faster than light.” he stated as he put distance between them.

Woody groaned, “I can’t deal with you right now!” he stomped his boot on the ground.

Unbeknownst to those two, the game booth they’re hiding behind was currently in the midst of a game. The kids are shooting their sharp pointy ammo at the targets. One particular ammo bounced a little too enthusiastically from the target, to the wall, to the ground then..

“How many times do I have to tell you?! You. Are. A. To-!!!” Woody jerked as the ammo stabbed from the back of Woody’s belly.

Woody gasped and looked down, the sharp ammo protruding out of his belly.

“Oh, that’s just great! What will Andy do with me now?!” Woody gestured to his ripped belly.

Woody would’ve continued his complaining but before he could, Buzz pushed him down surprisingly firm yet gentle to the ground against the wall.

“Breathe, Sheriff. You’re in shock.” Buzz said as he pressed Woody’s belly gently and firmly.

Woody realised Buzz thought he was really stabbed and hurt, “No, Buzz. Relax, I’m fine! See? I’m not actually-”

Woody tried to stand and push Buzz’s hands away but Buzz pushed Woody back down and applied pressure again.

“You’re in shock, Sheriff. Remain immobile for the time being.” Buzz said firmly as he assessed the wound.

Woody pushed Buzz on his shoulder, “Buzz, I’m serious, it’s not that bad-”

Buzz now shoved Woody harder against the wall, his forearm pressing against Woody’s chest, knocking whatever air was in Woody out of him. Woody’s eyes widened as he stared at Buzz who seemed irritated now.

“Sheriff.” Buzz glared at Woody, “Remain still, or I’ll take whatever precaution necessary.”.

Woody stared at Buzz for the longest before finally exhaling. There’s no use in arguing with him. Buzz wasn’t going to listen and Buzz really thinks Woody is hurt. Technically he isn’t hurt but it did shock him enough to imagine he was kinda hurt? If that made any sense.

“Ok, ok,” Woody raised his hands off of Buzz, “I’ll stand down..”.

Buzz nodded and finally pulled his forearm back, continuing to assess the wound. The longer Buzz went about what procedures he had to do and whatever protocol he had to follow, the more Woody realised how much work he had to put into Buzz. Who knows how long it’ll take?

Yet, despite all this, Woody isn’t saying he doesn’t find some sort of amusement in all this. The way Buzz is willing to do anything to help ‘heal’ Woody is not only amusing but endearing.

Now, should he find this much amusement in this? No. Was he going to deny it to himself that this was amusing AND endearing? Maybe. But would he admit it to anyone else? Never.

He’ll take it to the grave. If he ever ends up in one that is.
