Tbf to Chris Pratt and the rest it’s not like they made this happen. The studio specifically sought out big names. If it weren’t them it would’ve been some other celebrity.

With the cost of making theatrical animation of course they want to stack the odds of success in their favor, and name power is an easy get. Plus voice actors are kinda too insular of a community anyway, really hard to break into that kind of work as an actor. Not that I care, Bob Hoskins was already perfect casting, and he, kinda you know, can't reprise that role.
