Again, I'm new to the whole Eyes and Ears AU (and Tumblr-) so I may have missed something about listeners but from what I've gathered, this is what I came up with!

My Mishmash of Others' Headcanons for the Design:

There's not much art of the listeners but for the most part I've seen them portrayed as yellow with big ears.

For the wings, I saw either angel/bird wings (like the watchers) or dragon/bat wings. I decided to go with bat wings (and ears) since bats have the whole echolocation thing going on (also don't judge me for the bat wings not being accurate, it's an otherworldly being, it doesn't have to be accurate xD)

The warden antennae (Idk if that's what they're called-) came from a few people associating wardens with the listeners since wardens 'listen' to find the player.

The blindfold covering the eyes comes from a post I saw (can't find it again atm) that basically says eliminating the opposite sense from one of the beings makes their main sense stronger. In this case, eliminating sight from listeners makes their hearing stronger.

The cloak just comes from art of the watchers + the placeholder listener skin from evo

The swirly symbols are the listeners' symbol (idk if there's an official one) If you squint they can kinda look like ears-

My Own(?) Ideas:

This comes from my own idea for my own thing (probably not an original idea but yk...) where the bigger the wings are, the older/stronger a person is.

That concept also carries on to the ears in a way where I think they would gain ears as they continue to 'climb up the ranks' of the listeners or continue to be a loyal listener or smthn like that.

I also think both listeners and watchers can hide/show all of their eyes or ears whenever they want. They're still there, just hidden from view (like turning off and on a layer in an art program xd)

Aaanyways that's enough of my rambling for now. If I got anything wrong, or if you have your own ideas or have critiques for my art, feel free to share them! I'm also new to character design so if you have any tips on that, feel free to let me know those as well!

So I went off to do that but then I read a thing on how watchers feed off of negative energy, listeners feed off of positive energy, and speakers are sorta in-between. Now I don't know which I would be, but definitely not a watcher. Maybe a Listener but what's a speaker?Does anyone have anything on speakers? Can someone explain or send me a post explaining the basics of what watchers, listeners, and speakers are?

I was driving back from Bible study and it was after a storm and the sun was setting. It was also still raining pretty good so ofc I looked around for a rainbow and right there, on my left, was a clear, very saturated rainbow! It was so cool and for a moment there was a second rainbow too! I'm gonna draw that moment later but for now I'll give you the pictures!

This encounter reminded me of the verses 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 that say, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.". It mostly reminded me of the part "we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed" because even though the storm was pretty strong and sending off a lot of warnings, the sun peaking out at the end of it and the rainbow on the other side made me feel a lot better and it reminds me that I have a real hope and a light protecting me from whatever despair and darkness is storming around me in everyday life.
