The original design is so very cute and I think it's genunely really sweet how so many people are coming together to draw her and all these different iterations but . something . has been happening ever since non brazilians started doing it .

usamericans think we're trying to tell them to stop having fun just by pointing it out but like. the whole international miku thing is fun because we are dressing miku in either traditional dresses from our cultures or people we might see walking around in our day to day lives. But US movies and series are so fucking commonplace all over the world (because of course US cultural imperialism) that when you make a seattle or boston or philladelphia or texas or florida or fucking whatever miku and you just dress her in jeans and a hoodie/flannel shirt... that's nothing. it literally just reads as either "casual street fashion" or "something everyone sees every day on the TV".
