About how upset I get when I just want to watch a TV show and everyone on it is a horrible person. Warning for language.

Comics are not always funny, right, sometimes comics are sad or hard to look at. I drew a lot of seriously scary stuff about my low self-esteem about a week ago and it was so disturbing I am not even going to show it to my therapist, but out of that came a sanitized version of one of the drawings I made, and she is one of my ever-popular (that is, popular with me; I am drawing them all of the dang time) Crying Girls and here she is.

This is the first time I have posted in ages because I am the worst Tumblr-er ever.

So one odd little quirk of mine is that I often draw myself as a person I have mentally dubbed Crying Girl. I was deleting some rubbish off my hard drive and found this goofy little Crying Girl picture from a couple years ago.

Yeah, I finished it. Here are all the panels in case you missed the first two. I still blame that old Play of the Week production for this one. Also maybe Edward Petherbridge’s reading of PoDG as an audiobook.

So I actually am going to finish the Dorian Gray comic eventually, but in the meantime, I ran across some things on my hard drive I thought you might like to see.

On a couple of different occasions I thought I might write and illustrate a children’s book about a cat. I thought, “I’m pretty decent at writing and I’m pretty decent at drawing, so I should be able to do this, right?”

As it turns out, and as probably anyone without my colossal arrogance already would have known, writing a children’s book takes a special kind of knack, and I do not have it. But these are some fun pen-and-ink kitties that you might find pretty to look at.

I don’t rightly understand what the Sam Hill this is I started drawing or have any idea when I will finish it, but here it is. The look of this whole thing is pretty strongly influenced by the 1976 BBC adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Basil Hallward, always and forever I will wish you could escape into a crossover fanfiction where you elope with Mortimer from Our Mutual Friend because you deserved better friends than Harry and Dorian.

Hey, y’all. I let this Tumblr go to seed for like a year and a half but now I’m back. It’s time I started making art again. And by “art,” I mean cartoons, ‘cause that’s what I do.

This is a giant kittycat who lives underwater. He’s not going to hurt any of these people or the sea serpent who appears so confounded by him. He’s just hanging out under the waves, as giant submarine kittycats do.

I hope to see you all again soon.
