honestly the way age and aging get treated by society in general, both in online subcultures and just in life on the whole, pisses me off a lot tbh. i do mean the way people treat women as soon as they’re not like, high school age appearing, but more primarily just the way people get treated when they’re actually ‘older’. the way people starting in like their mid fifties and above, especially women, are often seen as invisible or gross or unintelligent or just not taken seriously, the way elder abuse is barely ever talked about, just, all of it. infuriating innit

kind of fucked up that we all just walk around going im like this what about you? this is me is that ok? if i show this part of me will you show me part of you too? do you trust me not to spit at you when your back is turned? do i trust you? can i? all day. and then we like. go home and sleep
