Made some new ocs, they're part of the FaaF world but don't really have any connection to the main plot

Ludovic is a divorced king in his 50s, he had been betrothed to his previous wife but while he fell helplessly in love with her she only saw him as a friend, which eventually led to a divorce which Ludovic took heavily.

Paz is a 30something royal knight stationed at the palace, one of the best this kingdom has to offer. He's had his eyes on the king even before the divorce, but kept his distance out of respect. It wasn't until over a year after Ludovic's divorce that Paz started making moves on him...to which Lu was completely clueless, much to Paz's frustration.

The two would eventually get into a secret intimate relationship, which grew into something more as the two got to know each other (Ludovic started asking him on dates as he likes to actually know the people he's sleeping with). But because of Ludovic's complex and fear of attachment after the divorce, and Paz thinking Lu is way out of his league, the two never confessed. That is, until the secret comes out years later after a paparazzi captures a photo of the two in an intimate moment. It's a whole mess, Paz's supervisor (and Ludovic's sister) reassigns him outside the palace, but he still manages to sneak in to talk to Ludovic as he was never the one to give up easily. Ludovic intends to break off their relationship, as he doesn't want Paz to get dragged through all that drama, which naturally distresses Paz and out of desperation to keep him he confesses his feelings to Lu. It's messy and awkward, but Ludovic says it back, and Paz manages to convince him to try to make it work. They're both hopelessly in love with each other, Ludovic is simply afraid of the whole situation hurting Paz, it's the last thing he'd ever want to happen.
