To make a long story short, I made a screenshot showing the size difference between the Blue-throated Boomsinger and the Starscraper. The art is not mine but creations of Sheather888.

teeth! teeth! teeth!
here's the art that my pfp is. it's of dracula (famous vampire) as the sophont species called vampires. they aren't really in clawtact right now but that could change if i figured out a lot of stuff
steelcrab individual. (at the time of posting) i haven't quite figured out how they do naming yet so this one straight up doesn't have a name. the thing they're holding is a cup with an unspecified bright pink drink in it
Joschua Knüppe has once again brought back the Lemuria speculative evolution community challenge, now in its final phase.
I got plenty more plans, but here are my first handfull of submissions. A couple of badger-like eutriconodonts, a large, ellusive gondwanathere from the cloud and rainforests, two highly armored multituberculates converging with armadillos and whales, which in this timeline took a very different approach to the baleen whales of our timeline.

TRINKETS !
here's common belt charms and also the page i have on the name charm script (not likely to be helpful due to Overcomplicated Conlang Reasons but still). i'm realizing now i don't actually have super many trinket designs so if anyone wants to draw any of these you can just make up some. usually they're based on animals and also lots of them have text to varying degrees 👍
and since belt charms are also pretty commonly simplified depictions of animals here's some wildlife. have i mentioned that the vossie equivalent for a horse is something like a pterodactyl
vossie individual. this is specifically gabriel, who's weird because he's inexplicably been raised by humans talita-style. he likes sweaters and has pronouns of the he/him variety
Vossies (Velociraptor Sophonts) (very creative name I know)
LANGUAGE DOC: GAANEUII // VOSSIELANG <- English equivalent language (widespread trade language spoken by the spacefarers to make contact with other sophonts, DEFINITELY not the only language spoken by vossies. other popular languages spoken by spacefaring vossies specifically include yosazewa, ausetsmeu, and tsyaggac.)
Pack predators, largely carnivorous, eating a wide variety of land animals, bird-esque things, and fish. Sleep schedules vary wildly and just kind of depend on lifestyle, but the ‘default’ is crepuscular.
Desert animals, raptorially stanced bipedal frames. Not quite fluffy as they are feathery, big frills on the neck and end of tail. Their first few front teeth stick out of their mouths and look like a beak when their mouth is closed- these teeth move and are used in facial expressions.
(see diagram.)
The vossie homeplanet is about one and a half times larger than Earth and has a pangea style megacontinent going on.
(this map is a little outdated but that’s ok). Several cultures (the Greatest Bay, in blue in the center + Northchannel, in pink) are based almost exclusively on sailing and fishing, while the Northmanor (in purple) and Eastmanor (dark green, bottom right), while also being extremely into sailing since they’re right next to the northern and southern continental seas have more terrestrial pursuits.
Vossies are cosexual (like some kinds of snail) and do not particularly have a concept of gender or modesty. Clothes are still commonplace for display and protection purposes, and a lot of vossie cultures around the globe independently kind of happened upon the idea of signing personal accomplishments / events / stories / names on their clothes or with various trinkets. beaded artwork is common!
Vossies reproduce by cracking open an egg and spilling its (haploid) yolk onto other eggs. Sometimes this happens in ornamental yolk basins and sometimes it’s just a bowl. Vossies are extremely small and grody when they’re newborn babies, just like birds, so anything that’ll fit the eggs and keep the yolk from spilling everywhere will do. Vossies lay eggs seasonally once they’re old enough, and individuals who don’t want to deal with raising kids can smash the eggs or cook them for a variety of fun seasonal meals.
Vossies will organize themselves into large packs with wildly varying leadership qualities, the most common ‘traditional’ format being leader/deputy/doctors, but with countless others. Vossie packs can be families, groups of friends, even work groups like the crew of a ship. Vossies evolved out of the same ecological niche as wolves on earth, so they’re EXTREMELY social and usually join up into groups without thinking about it.
