“Shang-Chi” (portrayed by Simu Liu) A skilled martian artist who was trained in his youth by his father and by the Ten Rings to become an assassin, but eventually left the organization in order to live a normal life in San Francisco.

“Katy” (portrayed by Awkwafina) A close friend of Shang-Chi who also works with him as hotel valet.

“Jiang Nan” (portrayed by Michelle Yeoh) The guardian of a mythical city. 

“Wenwu/The Mandarin” (portrayed by Tony Leung) Shang-Chi’s father and the leader of the Ten Rings.

“Xialing” (portrayed by Meng’er Zhang) Shang-Chi’s sister and Wenwu’s estranged daughter, formerly affiliated with the Ten Rings

Comic books and movies are very different and our interpretation of the characters if you’ve been following the movies are very different from what the books are so as it stands in these films, Bucky is still a damaged character who I think feels like he doesn’t want the shield and I think that ultimately Sam is a character with free will who is the closest in morality to what Cap was and Cap believes he deserves it.”

We are the Marvel Network, a new blog focused on promoting creators in the fandom!

This blog hopes to bring exposure to creators, blogs, and events in the fandom! To do that, we have a few different projects and ideas that we’re going to be trying out:

We want to give exposure to things going on in the fandom, such as events/zines/big bangs. Please help by keeping us informed of anything we miss!

Interviews, Showcase, and more!

We’ll start out with bi-weekly ‘showcase’ posts highlighting a creator in the fandom! Please suggest people we can bring focus to - skill level and time as a fan doesn’t matter!

Eventually, we’d like to do more projects and even our own events, but we’ll start small and see how this blog goes for now!

Creator registration for Marvel Trumps Hate is officially open! We are accepting sign-ups from now until 11:59 PM ET on October 14 (what time is that for me?), with bidding taking place a week after that, from October 21 to October 27. All auction times will be in Eastern Time (ET). Please read our participation page for instructions and information you need to know before signing up.
