Brain Dump Poems

A dusty floor.

Those suede sole shoes.

Quietly slide with only the hush of the suede against the wood.

The music takes over

Body, mind, and soul.

The world is silent as the shoes turn and soar.

A passion surrounds the dancer as a whole.

The music slowly fades and shoes begin to slow.

Let me go.

Let me break through that door.

Your grasp is too strong, I

Can’t breath anymore.

To smell the outside air

The wind blow through my hair

But your claws dig in tighter so that

There is no room to even dare.

I feel the strength inside me,

Building to be free.

Will it be enough or

Crumbling to pieces like an

Old, clay, sculpture.

Time goes on and more disintegrates to dust.

Living beyond my time, but barely living.

Losing track of myself with too much time to myself.

Punished for something unknown.

Eyes open, heart broken, tears flowing.

My guard is back up.

Will there be a time where this all

You have to love yourself to love someone else.

In sickness and in health.

So what if my head starts messing with me again?

Do we go by the vows or psychological loose ends?

If I can’t love myself for a while then do I leave and rebegin?

Restart, redo, start over?

Without you I couldn’t get through

The hell in my mind.

A fantasy, a dream,

That’s where you’ll find me.

A place that seems to blind your eyes

And mine.

Someone open their eyes.

Before our realities slash these lies.

Either way, overall relief.

Either way will end this grief.

Two separate pages but I need to be on just one,

The beginning or the end,

The world is burning, my heart is churning.

Confusion sets in.

Do I look for love in a world falling apart

Broken apart

Pieced back together

Each little crack

Nothing around me except quiet and

Shame.

Praying for positivity to bring me to

Hoping my past will not cut me like a

Just fine.

Not sad that it’s over but

Over the wasted time.

You didn’t have to elaborate,

Point fingers,

Call names.

Yet you did and

You burned a bridge that

Mortality. Reality.

Hit with a wrecking ball.

I fall.

The rabbit hole is long.

Not feeling strong enough to

Breath.

Life is short or is it long?

Things were so good.

All the bad thoughts left,

Until today.

Gaslighting didn’t even cross my mind again.

Then those words spewed out out your mouth.

Burning through my very soul.

No.

Not to me.

I will not let someone tear me down.

Silence is so loud.

I can hear it.

The silence.

It shakes me to my core.

Panic sets in,

My patience is thin,

And now all that’s left is

I.

Can’t.

Breath.

Like a corset pulled too tight,

My chest heaves.

Stop pulling my strings.

Inhale and

Freeze.

Breath

Quietly withering away

An unseen pain

Ignored and played.

“But you’re so much better than you have been” just feels like a game.

The world keeps on turning,

Your silence is burning

But my heart keeps yearning for

On the tip of my tongue

The words come out wrong

And I’m back to square one with

I fell for a man

That had grow to understand

The pieces of me that I’d gathered.

Now the glue is all set

That your words were a sham
