Hell yes. The concept of two very different robots somehow being friends is a deeply weird and funny idea that I feel Star Wars only scratched the surface of. Like, this a vein of strangeness and comedy that just goes on and on.

My biggest Star Wars headcanon is that Droids were originally a naturally evolved form of synthetic life. They were discovered by other organic species and were studied and dissected until they became standardized and mass-producible. This is why digital technology in Star Wars is so wildly out of step with robotics, it's because droids rely on an entirely different technology that doesn't translate directly to computation.

Took me years of wondering what the fuck was up with C-3PO’s tummy plate design before it clicked out of gnowhere last night. The chariot represents emotions put into action, it is both our hesitation and our determination fused into physical works. Our wants and needs driving us forward. The two bots represent the emotional core of the Skywalkers, as Anakin constructs C-3PO only to lose him as his own innocence is corrupted, before he returns to aid his son Luke. R2 serves a similar purpose but with a bit more sass, and also literally co-pilots the X Wing fighter jet. C3 as the golden charioteer, and R2 patterned to invoke the headdress of the pulling Sphinx; C3 tends to follow R2 around more than the opposite. The chariot often translates into the Mechanical man archetype, such as the Tin Man of Oz looking for a heart, so it’s was nice to see it visually manifested so overtly in C3’s design.

forgot there’s a duck pond where i can just go and look at ducks

duck pond highlights:

tiny fluffy baby ducks exploring things alone or in pairs

a whole bunch of koi just hanging out in roughly the same meter-squared area just below the surface

a duck of a different kind from all the others standing on the rock in the middle of the pond like some sort of king

slightly older ducklings (starting to get their adult feathers) all napping in a pile

two male ducks napping on the grass next to each other. every few minutes one of the two (the same one every time) would stick his head up and start quacking. the other duck would stick his head up and quack too, and then the first duck would stand and walk to a different spot a few feet away. the second duck stood and made a really big deal of stretching before walking over to where the first duck was, and then they both sat down and went back to sleep. this happened multiple times.
