Broke the 1000 mile mark with my run tonight. This was a goal I set when I started running again back in WV about 10 years ago. May not seem like a lot but it’s a huge accomplishment for me. With a shoulder surgery and 2 kneck surgeries along the way and life’s challenges. It’s about the journey or you could say the process… it’s about finishing. Now I’m at the top of this mountain… but the bottom of the next one. People have asked me how I can spend 5 hours working out. It’s always been my out. I can get lost and forgot about everything outside. It’s about me and finding myself. It’s something I have always loved. It’s a constant for me. Would not have made it through the past year plus without this kid and Austin and Bryson. Been a year I don’t want to remember. But I’m still here fighting. Most days I don’t feel like I have any fight left in me so I try and put on a happy face but inside I’m dying and hurt more than I cousin ever describe a hurt I hope none of you ever feel. Loosing a child that is still here is excruciating. The sadness inside should never be known by anyone. Of your a parent alienating a child from their parent and or family and friends or a judge that has allowed it I hope that the day you realize what you’ve done your able to forgive yourself. There are a handful of people that have gotten me through and been by my side and my boys at all cost. I’m forever in your debt and I love you more than you’ll ever know. Just being there sometimes is the difference between getting through a day and not. Divorce takes two people. Destroying a child takes one. Some of know from personal experience and some don’t. The love I have for the people in my village is real and I wouldn’t be here writing this if it were not for you.
