so i keep looking at them and i had to keep telling myself these are real people and here they are right there

and i was constantly like HM guess i’ll fucking die!!!!!

i said “hi i’m kelsey.”

scott goes “hi kelsey!” and i know tessa said hi too but i can’t remember if she said my name because scott is honestly just so much of a presence that it’s kinda wild but really comforting??

so we took a picture and he had his hand on my back and i’m pretty sure tessa did too but i was DYIN DUDES. i was focusing on scott bc tessa was RIGHT THERE. she was RIGHT THERE and i’m like how do i reel in my lesbianism just enough to survive this interaction

and then she looks at you. she looks you in the goddamn eyes. she refuses to look you anywhere but your eyes and i’m like

so here’s where it gets really wild

i was telling them about how i’m friends with a group of their lgbt fans and how some of us were here tonight and how we love them so much. and they were so touched and i wanted to cry i’ll be honest lmao

tessa was like “so did you meet up online?” and i was like yeah!

and then i said, “we actually have a name for ourselves. we call ourselves the gadbois gays.”

scott fucking loses his mind. he was like “that is amazing. HASHTAG GADBOIS GAYS”

and tessa busts out laughing and says “hashtag gadbois gays!!!!!”

and guys……in that moment……i felt seen in the best way

scott kept chuckling to himself about the name for a bit, said it again at some point i think when callie said she was with me

anyway scott was like we have to take a picture with the flag! and i was kinda taken aback because they said only one picture so i said “can we?” and he was like yes!!! of course!!

so it was actually scott who wanted the rainbow flag picture and i wouldn’t have gotten it without him suggesting it 🤧

also when i was getting my phone for the second picture my background is my wife and daughter and i was like here’s my wife and daughter. my wife and i just became foster parents in may and tessa gave me this LOOK that was just so…much. she was like oh my goodness…congratulations and just like really genuinely meant it?? and scott too. i was capital d dying

i explained them and scott was highkey confused and that was so valid but he sure did pretend like what i was saying was interesting because he’s sweet and tessa immediately looks me dead in the eyes again and goes

“so, did any of [my chart] surprise you?”

and no jokes no lies my face had to have been like

i was like “no. not really.” and she got this look like hmmmmm. 🤔 👀

now i gave them their rocks

and i poked fun at scott and was like “scott i don’t know how much you’d like a rock BUT” and he was like no! i love it!

he got a small amethyst geode and tessa got a small celestite geode. i explained what they were good for and she’s watching me and goes “so where’s the best place to keep them?” i said near your bed or even in your pocket / somewhere so that you can touch.

they both said the crystals were beautiful, and i’m really emotional that my rock babies now have homes with all the skaters 😭

back to their charts. i absolutely put my email address on both because YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE and was like “email me if you want and i can explain these more in depth to you.” and they were like okay

and god i’m blanking but i’m pretty sure this is the most of it

they’re beautiful and absolutely so fucking kind in person. they’re very warm and tessa is such an active listener. her eyes are so GREEN. scott is so happy and energetic
