dabi using a hug to burn shoto is so interesting because he is a long-range fighter like this proximity to shoto was not needed, but he did it anyway because dabi's attacks are all emotional and his offense tells us so much about the men he fights (endeavor shoto hawks).

none of his moves require him to jump into his dad's arms like a child but he does so anyway because he's just begging to be acknowledged and loved and hell is not hot enough for endeavor

dabi vs hawks is so good because it's all about debasement. i love how easily dabi overpowers hawks (seme), how he stomps on his face and his back like it's soo different from how he fights his brother and father, this is pure hatred and humiliation there is no desire for connection he just wanted to pluck that chicken and humble him #yaoi
