Really believe they can go far if they make a point of showing how Merrick and Hesh grow together as mentor and mentee. You know? Like Merrick is generally a hard ass but he was concerned for Logan and David when they insisted they go after Rorke. Already making big strides after Elias got killed. Like he realized “Oh shit I’m in charge now.” And locked in.

Keegan would be there for the emotional support that Hesh would need, being his bestie in short terms, but Merrick would be the one to ensure Hesh actually takes to the leadership role in a way where he’ll learn how to use his authority well without being overwhelmed by it.

I just know the Walker household just loud as fuck at all hours bro. Nothing but a ruckus. Keegan comes over because he's Keegan and he's like "Damn bitch you live like this?" inaudible over Riley barking, Elias blasting ACDC, David and Logan yelling and chasing each other around, etc. Cartoon sound effects.

Elias probably realized David was being born about two minutes before his wife did only because she turned to him in the delivery room like “I gotta shit.” and he (having researched the hell out of everything in a blind panic) clocked it as a sign that lil Davey was coming IMMEDIATELY.

Cue Elias spamming the fuck out of the “call nurse” button while holding a normal convo with wife because he may have read all about pregnancy and shit but he CANNOT deliver a baby. He’s trying to be so calm and his beautiful girl is like “Hm. This contraction got a lil kick to it. Why are you so pale?”

Elias seems like a young dad. Mostly because I’m certain he joined the military as a young man. Like. 18, he joins. Marries the wife between here and there because 1) Woah mama 2) Benefits like off base housing. Then they have David because they’re a young married couple living alone together. Things… happen.
