The animatronics at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, no matter how real their conversation might feel, were really only pieces of machinery. In the end, they are only driven to complete their primary directives. While this idea served as a comfort to many customers at the Pizzaplex, this truth carried implications that the regular human (for example, whoever was behind that original statement) wouldn’t think about. A robot does not feel the way a human does. The Daycare Attendant is driven by its primary directives, and whatever steps and plans are formed in the pursuit of those tasks. Therefore, when there is no primary directive leading a robot, it has no moral compass to fall back on; nothing to limit its full capabilities. Nothing to stop Moon from stealing Security Guard Vanessa’s phone, for example.
