Problematic media is allowed to exist within a reasonable context. You can make good art with horrific themes.

But also it is entirely reasonable to shame someone for making something disgusting like CP / incest/ whatever illegal thing. That stuff enables actual creeps IRL.

It's not hard. There is a nuance to this stuff.

Every single time this discourse starts it's always gooners VS puritans without any actual meaningful discussion.

I am not pro, anti, or even a centrist with this. Writing and art is a case by case basis that depends on the context and cultural impact.

You are not a bad person for writing horrific things so long as you don't condone it IRL. Your whomp fanfic isn't going to send you to hell.

You are not a good person for preferring more wholesome content. I too hate looking at egregious shit that isn't properly NSFW tagged when looking for fanart of my favorite wholesome children's cartoon.

Fanart, shipping, etc isn't a zero sum game. We can peacefully coexist.
