I love Dib with piercings but theres no way he's conscious enough about his appearance to put effort into it.

I actually have drawn a long haired Dib!! HERE and HERE, from my copy of a copy au. (Which I need to post more word vomit about)

I think Dib having long hair is synonymous with him not taking care of himself/ being more unwell.

Dib misses the days when Zim wasn't so knowledgeable on earth culture.

I've seen Jhonen's post and many others takes on it.

At the end of the day, don't hate on the artists who haven't done anything wrong. A large cooperation (surprise surprise) is to blame here as usual. It's a cash grab for BOOM, but undoubtedly full of passion from the artists and writers. These things happen a lot in the entertainment world unfortunately.

At the end of the day, I consider it fan content. Not canon by any means. Sure, its much bigger since its through an established publisher. But that doesn't make it more canon.

Think of it this way too. its like getting mad at ME and MANY other artists for making invader zim fan content and profiting off of it. (Of course BOOM is a bigger deal, like I said) but can you see the similarities? Jhonen has no input on the bad habits I give Dib or on how fat I draw him. I say this LIGHTLY. I know my and others content doesn't go as far as to directly effect Jhonen or fans on a scale like this.

Dib Prime has never seen the outside of the lab he was created in. He is professor membranes first "son". Three years older than the other Dib.

Membrane created Dib Prime to be an exact copy of him. He only trusted himself to carry the membrane legacy, he was convinced that cloning his DNA would grant him some sort of immortality.

The project went too well. He surpassed membrane on all accounts. And worst if all. Dib was his own person. A son rather than a copy.

Unable to admit defeat, he kept Dib Prime alive, heavily medicated and poorly cared for. Too sick to think for himself or fight back. A prisoner in his own body. For science!

Knowing he couldn't create an exact copy of himself, professor membrane made the other Dib, his "son". This time making him an "intellectual inferior" so he could influence him however he pleased.

Kazzie has that man domesticated like a damn dog.

I mean look at him. Just laying there like an idiot, waiting to get his belly rubbed.

Actually, at first their relationship was very one sided. Dib is pretty self centered on his own ambitions and was blind to kazzies advances. They were friends for a while.

Somehow, she got through to him, Dib has trouble receiving care/love so it was a long, arduous process. He eventually realized that he had loved her longer than he even knew it.

They definitely had a rocky start. They're both stubborn. But now idk what he'd do without her heh :P
