I've passed my first year of uni (yay)

I've seen EXTC (basically xtc) twice

I'm seeing Sparks next month

I larped the footie like usual (fuck Argentina)

I'm now also maybe too dedicated to the new tomodachi life game

Friday night was my 4th tune-in to They Might Be Playing They Might Be Giants (which if you haven't heard is a brilliant annual 12-hour nonstop TMBG radio event!)

Things that happened:

I tuned in with 1 earbud in during my uni seminar which was a bit chaotic as i'm doing a music degree and could hear both Meet James Ensor and Amy Beach's piano concerto (also very good)

Requested Let Me Tell You About My Operation and then proceeded to miss hearing the song and having my name read out as I was in a clarinet lesson

Was surprised that the soup trend I started is still being mentioned - during the 2023 one of these, I submitted a picture of the soup I made while listening, and it became a whole thing, the hosts mentioned a facebook group called Now I'm Eating Soup, and TMBG fans now join it every time the event happens

Frantically texting my dad and uncle (TMBG fandom runs in the family) whenever one of their favourites came up

Heard some completely new things , which happens every year and i'm still surprised by! Also includes the nightcore-esque versions of Dog Walker and a couple others they played so they could make time for the live soundcheck that They were doing for a show that night, which more than made up for only one of the Johns being able to do an interview as part of this year's event

Had a fellow TMBG fan friend over who I've managed to find in uni for about 7 hours straight, we're thinking of starting a society for all things They and other artists in that general direction
