Have found myself with mutuals from other fandoms who apparently ship t/y/r/u/s so I’m back on this basically dead blog to vent about how bitter I still am. They really said bully x nerd and people were just fine with that, even though TJ’s redemption arc was sloppy and dissatisfying and unearned. They really had Cyrus stay friends with a guy who only approached him in order to emotionally manipulate him into betraying Buffy. They really had their first canon gay couple (well, as canon as holding hands for two seconds in the last episode can be) be based in toxicity and emotional manipulation and taught all the gay kids watching that it’s okay for your partner to guilt trip you instead of taking responsibility for their actions.
