Katya Volkov grew up all over america, being shuffled through the foster system. She found herself in many different homes. Some were nice, some were not, and some were horrible. By the time she was 16, she had developed several mental illnesses, causing her to crave any emotional intimacy, the one thing she never got as a young kid. She tried to fill the aching void in her chest many times by desperately trying to find lovers or anyone willing to give her attention, but that only made the hole in her heart bigger. One night after a fight with her foster parents she goes out to get herself a beer from the convenience store near her foster home, there she meets the most charismatic boy she has ever seen, Julian, the way he talked to her made her feel unbelievably special, although that was the way most of her exes made her feel the first time she met them. They exchanged numbers, and after just days of talking, they became a couple. Things were going smoothly, better than other times, actually, until she got invited to a family dinner at his house. His parents were nice and welcoming. They treated her like a daughter in law, sickeningly welcoming. As she went to his house more and more often her boyfriend tried to isolate her from her friends. One night she was over at his house, when he left to go get something from the convenience store she started snooping around his house, thats when she found another phone of his, upon unlocking it she saw dozens of unsaved contacts all talking about the same thing, making offers, auctioning for something, someone. It didn't take long for her to find out what it was all about. She started looking around more, finding thousands of cash hidden underneath his floorboards. She left in a hurry, shaken by what she just saw, but when she turned to lave the room, Julians mother stood in the doorway, eyes wide. "You weren't supposed to see that yet," she whispered as she started choking Katya until she felt the consciousness slipping away from her.
Next time Katya woke up the first thing she felt was splitting pain on her joints. Upon opening her eyes she saw Julians father standing over her with a bloody switchblade, finishing the last cut on her arm. They seemed to be in some kind of basement, illuminated only by a weak lightbulb. When she looked down at her body she saw deep red perfect scars over every single one of her joints her voice got stuck in her throat, the pain was unbearable, after finally tearing her eyes from the bloody mess on her body she saw an axe right next to Julians father. This time she got up with the little strength she, trying to get to the door, but her attacker lunged at her attempting to put the blade through her skull. He succeeded in landing a cut on her left eye, she tried kicking him in the crotch, temporarily stunning him. She grabbed the axe from the floor and drove it in her attackers skull. Katya was known to be violent when she was younger, always getting into fights with kids at school, hitting her foster sisters, but never this far. She should be feeling horrified by what she had done, what had happend to her, but somehing in her snapped. Something in her wanted to kill anyone who ever hurt her, something full of hate was consuming her. She grabbed the switchblade, leaving the axe behind, and left the basement.
Five bodies were found that week, three of them belonged to the Carson family, all of whom were found dismembered in their home. The other two bodies were found dismembered near the woods. They belonged to a boy and a girl, seemingly a couple.
