Struggling to find way to celebrate Mabon with little preparation? No problem!
You don’t have to make an altar or bake anything. You don’t have to spend your entire day on it. Mabon is a celebration of reflection, growth and change. Below are a few things you can do that take no longer than 20-30 minutes of your day: •Go for a walk in your local park. Embrace the season firsthand and walk within nature. Collect some autumn leaves along the way and make a fairy ring either back in your garden or in the park. •Meditate. As it is the season of change and gratitude, reflect on the blessings you have received in the recent months/year and prepare yourself for the change that is coming, both in your energy and in your life. •‘Tis the season for apples and cinnamon! Seasonal foods and herbs are your best friend during Mabon. Go to your local fruit shop and grab an apple or two. Incense sticks infused with cinnamon are great to get you in the autumn vibe too! Almonds, hazelnuts, milk, honey, coffee & hot tea also work for Mabon. Be creative and utilise! •Wear the colours of the season. If you don’t have time to do much but want to celebrate, wear some Mabon themed colours: oranges, browns and yellows.
•Get creative. Art works for any time of the year. Make a bag, make a tye dye shirt. Draw a Mabon inspired piece. Going back to colours, use the Mabon colours to express your feelings!
•Make an Autumn Music Playlist. Got a selection of songs you love that remind you of the autumn season? Compile them into one super playlist and listen to them whilst you go about your routine.
•Give thanks. Text your friends, your family, anyone who has brought you happiness. Just a quick little ‘thank you for always being there’ text can brighten up not just their day, but yours too.
These are just some of many things you can do during Mabon! Feel free to add to this list if you’d like!
I carved out and apple so there was just enough room for a small candle and covered the “walls” in cinnamon. It smelled so good, like apple crisps. And the whole process barely took 10 minutes.
@everything-witchy that’s such a good idea!!!
Bringing this back for all the baby/new witches who are struggling to find ways to celebrate mabon 🔮💜
