took a small break from pressure related work to make a new character! he's a vampire bat [with draconic features from his lineage] that was resurrected after taking a sword to the chest [ouf!]

Crystalline Kulve Taroth

A small Deviant of a Kulve Taroth, generally measuring in at 2500cm. Despite its smaller stature, this Kulve Taroth is just as deadly as its larger counterparts.

This species deviated likely due to their lack of flame glands, causing them to be unable to melt gold onto their bodies.

Instead, their saliva and blood cause crystal growths- these crystals seem to be inherently controllable to an extent- in which they use this saliva to trap prey or unlucky hunters to either neutralize or save for later consumption.

This individual, the first discovered of its kind, has been named Rose. The pink hue found on this monster seems to be in line with its blood color and crystal type- a similar compound to rubies, but pinker in color.

This monster species is strong against Water, Thunder, and Paralysis, but especially weak to Dragon and Poison.

It is unnaturally docile for something of its size and locale- found in the lower regions of the Elder's Recess. It consumes mostly rock, but can be seen partaking in a carnivorous diet should the opportunity arise.

This individual lives in a lair encrusted with crystal growths. There are noted cases of bones encased in crystal- trophies, perhaps old food- in its den.

you all liked my last monster hunter beast, so i share with you Algovale, one of my oldest designs for monster hunter oc stuff at all! this is also the first attack he got on artfight- and, perchance, the only attack he ever got before his profile was deleted [art creds to dragonfire3859 on artfight!!! they're really really really cool and super awesome. the first AF attack i got that made me cry]

art cred for the first image is just me, its a concept for his redesign! i wanted to make his other two heads kinda corrupted because im sure having the energy of three elder dragons crudely stitched into one body has negative effects over time

he's an equal dragon weapon, designed to obliterate not just elder dragons, but the entirety of beasts. unfortunately that didn't turn out very well for the guild and it ran off, rarely seen by an unlucky hunter nowadays!

the gore magala head [and the one actually named Algovale] is impulsive and blind. it tends to sink its teeth/beak into anything it can grab, and although extremely intelligent, tends to poison the other two heads with frenzy when it gets enraged

the safijiva head [named Algo] is the only head with sight, but it suffers from having four eyes and it can see practically everything as long as the other two heads aren't blocking its sight. it tends to get frustrated with the other two heads for being blind

the white fatalis head, the most powerful of the three, is also the most intelligent [and also named Vale]. due to its rapid adaptation to having like, three heads and infinite power, it decided to focus its mutation on mimicking speech / telepathy [like Narwa/Ibushi]. it often mutters random, philosophical ramblings to soothe itself and the other two heads

did i mention im a monster hunter fan? cause i'm a monster hunter fan! this is one of my.. roughly 14 monster hunter characters, Avery! starting as a human/wyverian hybrid, he made the unfortunate mistake of donning a particularly cursed set of white fatalis armor [from a dragon that he had killed himself] he's relatively upset about this not because he's now a dragon, but because his hair is short. he took care of his hair VERY meticulously when he was human, and all of a sudden being forced to have a short mane is fucking him up [don't worry dude it all grows back eventually]

he's big and whiny and overdramatic, which doesn't exactly translate well to being a dragon, since he tends to be a little bit destructive in his drama

no he's not mentally ill he chooses to be dramatic for fun

Alpine! My funny leshen!!

He spent most of his time before meeting Gris gardening and making potions for the local witchers.

He always had a green thumb and was constantly bringing exotic species into White Orchard - especially toxic ones, he found them really interesting.

Mushrooms were a big favorite of his, too, but they're dangerous for him to grow now- they could latch onto his skin, and it's akin to a blister for his kind.

In his viper school days, he was relatively top of his class. He excelled with making discreet poisons and convincing beasts to allow him their venom- usually through friendly means, rarely aggressive.

He was an excellent assassin with the blood of dozens on his hands when he retired [from paid assassination, anyways.]

When he failed his last exam, he was shunned and didn't have much place to go, so he hitched onto carts going out of the area until he found a place to settle down. Rarely does he meet anyone else from his school.

He took the occasional monster contract to raise coin to get help to build his cabin, and grew all of his own food before being forced into a carnivorous lifestyle.
