I wonder if the reason that Moren always gets out a children's picture book to explain something that almost certainly has more in-depth texts available (I mean, there has to be a bunch of biographies of Eulmore's first Minfilia, for instance.) is because he clocked WoL as one of the Exarch's countrymen almost immediately, and knew from dealing with the Archons that Vrandtic uses an alphabet we won't be able to parse.

so i was looking at ffxiv gearsets and i was for a moment transfixed by the fact that by default the site shows them all on male character models. every time i go to this site i have to click this little toggle to see what the gearsets look like on a female character. and it's so tiny. it's nothing. but it's another little example of that male-as-default that you just never stop noticing once you're attuned to it. idk i'm insane
