We got some awesome prompt suggestions this year and we can't wait to see what will make the cut! If you submitted a prompt and don't see it here, it may have been one that we've used previously. That doesn't mean it wasn't a good prompt - we just want to give some other ideas a chance to get used by everyone.

Hi there and thank you so much for the kind words about Second Self (which I think might be my best book yet). And thank you for the welcome to Tumblr!

I really like writing for Raffi. She wears her heart on her sleeve, which can make her pretty vulnerable, but, at the same time, she doesn't take any bullshit from anyone.

I found her voice pretty quickly: I wrote her for the first time in The Last Best Hope, which is a prequel set during the Romulan relief mission. I was writing on a very tight deadline, which kept me from hanging out with my family, and I channelled some of that into Raffi's combination of guilt about leaving her family, and her need to do something about the terrible crisis around her. I don't have much experience of addiction, but I hope I did that part of her character justice.
