there is a moment where TIME stands still. everything around you tunes out. the only sound piercing your eardrums is your heartbeat. however, this very moment for kida was the complete opposite. “ fuck my goddamn life. ” she’s been pacing for what felt like twenty hours, but in reality it was ten minutes. ten minutes too long. the beds of her nails are chewed to hell. the skin on her lips are chapped. the bags gracing underneath her eyes are anything but designer. “ this shouldn’t have happened! ” a bitter laugh escapes her lips as the words bounce off the walls surrounding the two. she pauses for a moment, finger pointed in the air, before coming back down to rest at her side. she inhales, exhales. icy blue hues gaze on the table in front of her and before her conscious has time to come in and challenge her intentions ; she’s pushing everything off onto the floor in fury. “ let’s burn everything and get out of here. now! “ @deathtake

his words SOFTEN kida, faltering her intimidating demeanor. she, then, settles in front of him, wrapping her hands delicately around his neck, as she leans in to whisper. “ you didn’t misjudge anything..” her plush mouth presses a soft kiss to his cheek, lingering for a moment and inhaling the scent of smoke that clings to him that way she yearns to—– she recoils just enough to catch his gaze, though the space between them is scarce, their noses brushing. “ i could give you another one. you know, to make sure the right message is sent. “ @gvnstruction

     He picks up one of her guns and places the barrel between his lips, eyes trained on the female he sits across from and he smirks, index finger hovering over the trigger. Bang bang. His eyes roll back with faked ecstasy and he lets a raspy moan slip from between his lips - it travels the length of the weapon and floats out into the open air. “I’ll never understand” He begins, removing the weapon from his mouth. “Why more people don’t like these things”

     The Snow White really was unlike any other club in New York. The place was a haven for criminal scum of all kinds to perform their particular brand of villainy, and there was one man at the center of it. He seemed too young to be so powerful – that’s what all the suits said, but he had his reputation for a reason. Italians used to run the streets in New York, now, now it was Jimmy Hopkins. They treated him like the second coming of Christ in the Snow White, he owned the place after all. The club almost always had live music, a band or a DJ or something to keep it interesting. 

     Although Jimmy was a breath of fresh air compared to the stuffy Italians, he still did stuff for the community like the dons that had passed, sometimes he did favors for people, pretended for a while that he was a nice guy, but he was off the clock. He was high, and this asshole was chewing his ear off about some business venture he wanted Jimmy to invest in. He’d assumed that it was Molly who was stood next to him, he’d only caught her out the corner of his eye. Molly and Jimmy had a scam running where she’d pretend to be his wife or girlfriend to get out of awkward conversations (that didn’t quite warrant lethal force). Jimmy took the woman’s hand next to him and said, “we’ll need to talk about this later, me an’ –” he finally got a good look at the woman he’d presumed was Molly. It wasn’t Molly. He was holding a random stranger’s hand. He took it in his stride, and carried on. “– The wife are gon’na go dance for a while.” His dilated pupils were begging with her not to say anything. Please.

bars and nightclubs had always left her on edge ( especially the snow white ) - the countless bodies on the dance floor, the music & the bright lights - it was all so much. it was a continuing trait, feeling so overwhelmed by the sounds and sights surrounding her. people spoke and she responded but words fell hollow from her lips. yes and no and i’m good, thanks, all lacking meaning as she said them in automatic response. but, if that’s what she would have to do to keep a vast network in the criminal underworld, then so be it.

of course he didn’t need to question her reasons for showing up there, he knew that she wanted a reaction out of him. she’d seen just how he could explode when he was frustrated yet she wasn’t afraid of that side of him - she would match his fire with fire. the faux innocence in her tone didn’t fool him, and kida likely didn’t expect it to either. they knew each other better than that. he rolled his dark hues, then turning to look at her, eyes scanning over the familiar features in front of him. “out of all the places in the world you just had to come here,” he spoke slowly, as if he was still deciding how he felt about it. it was always some kind of game with the blonde, she was truly like no one else he’d ever met. “i need a drink for this,” the raven then said and turned towards the bartender, ordering himself a beer.
