the genetics are so good DESPITE the colour wheel. Reminds me a lot of the Sims 2 genetics system, but it additionally has hereditary height and hair texture. Remember how a certain multibilliondollar company kept saying Sims 3 has wonky genetics because of the colour wheel for skin and hair? Clowns.

Just shared this tuning mod on Mod the Sims. It turns off autonomy for the following activities:

No autonomous answer phone

No autonomous smart phone browsing, texting, streaming.

No autonomous selfies.

No autonomous use laptop from inventory.

No autonomous play keyboard from inventory.

No autonomous play drums from inventory.

No autonomous practice school cheer.

No autonomous build igloo.

No autonomous kids go for joyride or be king or queen for a day.

I personally use a version that also turns off autonomy on fairy tricks and on the love charm spell, so I uploaded that version too.

Realized that I've made my Joel sim camera-shy because he never really looks as he should. I looked at the last time I posted a portrait of him (three years ago) and I don't even recognize him! I changed his sculpt pretty significantly back in March, which is always kinda scary.

The Berry Sweet Sapphics Legacy (SIMS 3)

This is for all my yearning sapphics who wanna play a colorful little legacy that is so sacchartine, it rots your teeth. Can also be played as mlm, although, well, look at my URL. Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.

Basic Rules:

Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). This is optional, but it is a big portion of the fun.

The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.

Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Keep the lifespan on normal.

My good friend @alwaysimming​ and I created the original version of this challenge for The Sims 4. We wanted to make something that forced us to play with parts of the game we’ve never explored before. I tried to capture that same goal for The Sims 3. All of the generations follow the same theme as they do in TS4, but with a few slight differences to fit the limitations of this game.

These Y2K glasses 😭

I have replaced some of the default beards with similar ones from my beard packs.

These are compatible with Simple Life's beard defaults, as my defaults overwrite different files.

You can place them in the Overrides folder or Packages folder. You can also delete the non-default versions if you want.

You may need to clear your caches and re-apply the beard on your sim in CAS to see the change.

All of them have custom thumbnails and are enabled from young adult to elder. They are not enabled for random.

SATELLITES - A SKINBLEND BY SIMAREX

hi! this is an update/edit of my trees skinblend. i wanted to make it higher quality, smooth it out and finally make that freckled version. if you currently use trees, i’d encourage you to switch to this one!

changes: all textures have been increased to 2048x2048. the face is basically the same as the original. there are a few changes on the body (ie the collarbones because the usual “maxis match” collarbones are near impossible to un-pixelate, as well as general body texture smoothing). 

all ages and genders (except baby)

it comes in default, non-default, monolid default, monolid non-default, a freckled non-default and a freckled monolid non-default. i figured nobody would want a freckled default but if you do just hmu!

non-defaults use 3 EA tone ramps (that i edited a little) and @pooklet‘s dark tone ramp

tou: don’t claim as your own, don’t link through ad.fly. feel free to use parts in your own skinblends as long as you credit me and the original creators.
