when it comes to her job, emily is much more the ‘i’ll be your friend who is also a doctor’ type of doctor- unless it comes down to life or death (which, in the emergency department, is pretty often). she can come across as arrogant or even a little cold, but it’s a result of disconnecting emotionally in order to process the complicated situations that often arise. during her last year of residency (that ended in may of this year), she was part of a team gathered by a diagnostician, but ultimately left the team due to professional disagreements, and has returned to working in the emergency department.
christmas is a chaotic affair for the jung family; due to the nature of her job, getting off for the holidays is hard, and emily is often one of the doctors that volunteers to stay behind on the holiday and celebrate christmas with the rest of her family the day before. to date, emily has only actually made three official christmas dinners in the past five years, and sporadic appearances at the annual christmas party that her parents host. she would much rather stay at home with her son and a mini christmas tree, sipping hot chocolate as she watches him open presents. because at age five, waking up late to do so still feels like a special event for him, and it works in balance with her job at the hospital.

hello hello everyone! i’m super excited to be a part of cs’s grand opening!! i’m a slice of life hoe and am super excited to have a place for this beloved muse of mine to go! i hope to be sending welcomes to everyone shortly but for now, this will have to do!
emily is 27, and is fresh out of her residency training, and hopes one day to start her own practice! aside from that though, a bit of her backstory and family info, and potential plot connections! if you don’t read below, she lives in apt 101 at luxtige apartments and is a doctor at severance! her specialty is emergency medicine, but she does hope to open her own practice one day for general medicine!
her father is seoul’s longest serving civil judge
her older brother (jung insu - 30) currently owns his own law firm and is a successful criminal defense lawyer
their younger brother (minkwon - 25) is a company consultant/travels and consults for practically every company under the sun
the youngest brother - yes emily is the only daughter! - jaewon / 22 is a car salesman and really the most underachieving of the bunch
emily was engaged approximately four years ago to a man that ended up being a not so great guy, and ended up (trigger warning!) passing away in a drunk driving accident that was his fault. (end) as can be expected, she was a wreck, had a toddler she had to raise alone while still being in medical school, and it tarnished the jung family name for about a year afterward
speaking of toddler- she is the single mother to a now five-year-old boy, who ends up staying with her parents often since she’s on call practically all the time since she works in the emergency department at severance medical hospital, and babysitters can’t always show up on a dime (babysitter plots are welcome !! seokwoo is a chatty and little bit stubborn boy that’s more than a handful sometimes)
tentatively, i would love to find a slowburn potential love interest for her to deal with the development of having to find proper closure! though her brothers constantly try to hook her up with people, she isn’t really into the dating game, so bad first dates and missed connections i am ALL for.
with that being said, this muse is inspired by 13/remy hadley from house m.d., and is unashamed of one night stands and fwb too, so a finding out she has a kid plot would be interesting too!
