I have to say for something that sounds kind of saccharine and too 'wholesome' to be taken serious, "my purpose in life is to make my friends happy" ranks as i think just slightly less sustainable or healthy a philosophy than "my purpose in life is to get the best grades possible" or like tying your self worth to like your income or creative output or whatever. Constructing a worldview where your purpose for existing gets called into question the moment you misspeak or make a social blunder or a joke doesn't land or whatever. it's especially toxic for transfems considering i don't think i know a single trans woman that hasn't been abandoned and tossed aside by a social group and left to fend for herself at least once in her life

You have to find a reason to not kill yourself that still stands if you are completely alone in this world and i don't think a lot of people grasp that because the concept of someone 'being alone in this world' is something you're not really allowed to say and mean literally
