Sadly, the bad writing started at the end of season 2, not in the finale/'season 3'.

We knew, deep down, that Aziraphale was OOC when he asked Crowley to go to heaven with him. That's why we had a lot of theories and we were waiting for season 3 to confirm any of it. There was no way that Aziraphale could think that The Metatron 'wasn't so bad'. There was no way that he could said that heaven was 'the side of light/truth' when they had punched him and afterwards tried to kill him, and kill humanity. There was no way he could think Crowley would want to go back to heaven as an angel.

I never believed the coffee theory, of course, but the scene was so OOC that I thought it was some kind of performance for the Metatron. I trusted it would be explained.

And the OOC is more than the final 15'. Michael was threating Aziraphale to erase him from The Book of Life and Crowley didn't even flinch? Comfortable much in Aziraphale's couch? The same protective demon that almost made Jim jump out a window because he threatened Aziraphale before? I also thought that he knew something about The Book of Life, like he had it hidden or something. He goes from 'extreme sanctions don't exist' to really worried about Aziraphale being erased in the first part of season 2, to no worried at all in the last episode, to 'I know everything about the book of life' in the Finale. It's bonkers.

One of my friends asked if we could all make our own ita bags as an activity for his birthday. So of course I had to make mine Crowley themed.

I’m not nearly done, I have a lot more ideas of things I want to add. But I did decide to make a little polymer clay Crowley.

so essentially Crowley was presented with the universe’s most fucked up version of a trolley problem and told to pick option A (bring it all back exactly the same) or B (don’t and i guess he could just chill with Aziraphale for eternity). but he decided to multitrack drift it by proposing an option C that ensured all the humans stayed dead AND that he and Aziraphale died too. which was an option that was not even on the table originally, so apparently he could’ve asked for whatever yet still chose to keep 8+ billion people dead. but you see, this mass murder at a cosmic scale is okay, actually, because Crowley did it for some abstract idealization of a potential future humanity! never mind the actually existent, flesh-and-blood humans that just got obliterated! you just don’t get it, its humanist! you’re just mad they didn’t kiss!
