Wow! I could talk about this book for hours. Jon Athan knocked it out of the park with this one. It immediately takes off and doesn't let up. He has such an amazing writing style. You really connect with the characters in this book, and you feel all of the emotions as you read. This one actually kept me on edge and had me taking a flashlight and paying more attention when I went outside after dark. This is my second book by this author, and I am now convinced I need to read them all. The author does a wonderful job incorporating all of the horror, gore, and violence while telling a thrilling story. This one releases in October 2024, and if extreme horror is your thing, you need to check it out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"While her parents attend a work party, eighteen-year-old Ella Romero is left in charge of her two siblings—thirteen-year-old Nicholas and eight-year-old Arianna—at their secluded lake house. In her usual fashion, Ella invites her friends to hang out while her parents are away, too. It was supposed to be an easy, quiet, normal night.

But then a grizzled stranger arrives at the home. Although no one answers the front door, he knocks and talks, knocks and talks—knocks and talks. Not before long, the man’s bizarre, nonsensical ramblings turn into nasty threats.

Price Manor: The House That Burns by Mike Salt is well-written and fast-paced. Kept me wondering what was going to happen next. This book had some of the most relatable characters of most things I have read. An easy 5 star for me.

I received a copy of The Shadow of Victory by Thacher Cleveland in exchange for an honest review.

To my understanding, this book is a part of a series, but I have not read any of the others, and this reads fine as a stand-alone. I was able to easily follow the storyline with no issues. This is well-written and has a little bit of everything in it. Fantasy, horror, paranormal, and more. It was an enjoyable read. I gave this one a 3.5/5.

This is your *SPOILER ALERT* for what is to follow

This book was insane. I went in blind as I do with 99% of what I read. In the beginning you are really feeling some sympathy for Millie and hating Nina and her devil spawn. The book had me hooked in part 1 alone. Then you hit part 2 and realize holy sh*t! Nothing is what I thought it was, so everyone you loved and hated seems to flip. (Except the kid, still a brat you just don't hear as much from her).

I am learning as I go so be patient and offer constructive advice as you see fit. I love to read and have been doing book reviews on most of the ones I read. As we all know, a good book review is spoiler free so I wanted a place where I could dive a little deeper into some of these stories.

I am a pretty random person so while I may toss in a quick caption review of a new product, I have tried that others may be interested in, this will be mostly books. I would love to hear from all of you about what you would like to hear about, and how much detail you want to know before diving into a book.

These reviews are only my opinion, and I will ALWAYS and forever encourage everyone to check books out for themselves. We are all different and amazing people with different likes and dislikes. Just because I may not enjoy one doesn't mean you won't love it and vice versa.
