There's been some discourse here and there about Yan's treatment of favor in Arknights, about how its greater conflict revolves a lot more about a supernatural cause and the nation itself isn't as harshly criticized by the story the same way all the other countries are, and while I think Such is the Joy of Our Reunion already did good work in quelling that criticism, I appreciate how First of the Thousand Autumns fully closed the circle by having super high-ranked members of the government turn towards the camera and say they gotta solve this supernatural bullshit at once because it's consuming the resources they could be using to do some good old imperialism instead
