finally getting back to Forgiveness & Fate, which I will be spending the rest of the summer on

joke answer: she doesn’t have to take the caftan off for Nat, because Nat is small enough to fit inside it. 

serious answer: she would absolutely take it off for Nat, because— although her initial attraction would be mental— she would eventually crave skin-to-skin contact with her most beloved. a physical connection would bond them even closer together in her mind, and even the mere act of hand holding would produce a deep feeling of intimacy for her. she would feel an electric charge between them and chalk it up to something that was equal parts sexual and spiritual. 

this is also a good opportunity to bring up the idea that Lottie would probably be demisexual. my headcanon says she had three unfulfilled crushes on Laura Lee, Natalie, and Shauna. the first two probably involved actual physical attraction because she bonded with them both in different ways, but with Shauna it would have been different. in that case, something much more mystical was going on. she didn’t exactly bond with her, but her religion made her see Shauna as special, so she could have easily confused that with attraction.
