I saw someone say that if Jackie and Shauna had a falling out in New Jersey, Shauna would be the stalker unable to move on, and now Iâm wondering if you guys inversed the dynamics on purpose because stalking the other after a falling out has Jackie Taylor written all over the front and back.
If anything, after a falling out, Shauna is ditching the state and never talking to or about Jackie ever again. She would repress the entire situation and invest herself in college and work. It would take Jackie being hit by a bus and being in life threatening surgery for Shauna to come back to her.
Jackie is the one who would follow her around and stalk her and be unable to move on. I explained this in a much longer post in more detail but Jackie was clearly much more possessive of Shauna than Shauna was.
Which is what makes me feel confused when people make Shauna out to be the territorial one in the relationship. Despite the fact that Jackie was the one who felt betrayed when Shauna went to sleep with Tai.
Shauna showcases possessive and territorial behavior towards her baby and even Melissa more than she does with Jackie, I feel like you mistake jealousy for possessive behavior, because Shauna never saw Jackie as something that belonged to her and more like something that she couldnât have.
Given the fact that Shauna allowed Natalie to take Jackieâs corpse away, unlike how she reburied her baby in a secret place only she could find, Iâm pretty sure Shauna doesnât feel ownership over Jackie the way she does over her baby
If you still arenât convinced, look at the difference between her arguments with Jackie and with Melissa

whenever i see a post on here that unironically thinks jackieâs death was stupid and easily avoidable⌠did we watch the same show?
because i watched jackie only pull herself together over and over for shauna, and then lose her mind when she discovers shaunaâs betrayal and their subsequent fight. see, i watched a show where jackie was fighting suicidal thoughts this whole time and decided that if shauna didnt come outside she may as well die (which explains her whole hallucination about shauna taking her back inside)
but apparently you watched one where a petty teenager gets jealous of her bff for the first time in her life and decides to die about it. like what.
lottie was spot the fuck on when she said that jackie wouldâve only wanted her body to feed shauna and the baby. i firmly believe that this wasnât just said to shauna to alleviate her guilt.
jackie wouldâve looked on in horror if the others ate the corpse of one of their teammates, but sheâd cut off her own arm and cook it (by herself) to feed shauna and the baby.
âugh i want a sitcom of them pre-crashâ itâs not funny even pre crash. nat has substance abuse issues and blames herself for her dadâs death. lottie is on a carousel of pills and never sees her father, dont mind the kleptomania. jackie and shaunaâs friendship is going to end in a big fight, whether itâs because of the cheating or brown or the jealousy or jackie reading the diary that shauna brings with her everywhere. tai is already ruthless and will do anything to win, including keeping van a secret. misty has something deeply wrong with her which is already showing signs (a drowning animal is just there to witness) and will only get worse. travis and javi see the strains of their sibling bond already. shauna and nat and tai and lottie plan allieâs âfreezing outâ in the first episode the same way they plan the hunts in the wilderness, all with their team captain jackie entirely unaware.
it was always going to end violent and bloody and messy. the wilderness just spend it up by a few years.

Which 2026 new releases I think the yellowjackets would watch (probably not entirely accurate)
really hope they get into the nitty gritty of the yellowjacketsâ various relationships with food post rescue. like when does tai decide to become a vegetarian? how have their pallets changed over the months they were out there? will some of them develop EDs due to the drastic change in food abundance? will a few of them struggle to eat at all for a while, because theyâve come to associate food security with a price tag of death and suffering? and especially since theyâre gonna be coming back to a world where y2k ânothing tastes as good as skinny feelsâ & diet culture is about to explode. like thatâs gotta be a double mindfuck on top of everything else, to see millions of people idolize the physical state you were in while you were starving to the point of eating your friends.

The key to writing good fanfiction is to harbor a deeply humiliating desire, and the trick there is that even pretty basic and societally-accepted desires like âbeing heldâ and âbeing wantedâ CAN and WILL be humiliating if theyâre intense enough. Become so estranged from human connection that the idea of someone playing with your hair fills you with yearning so deep you feel like youâre going to throw up and you will write some banger fanfiction. It might have some other consequences too but idrk about that.
