Currently thinking about Tengen getting married to his wives at such a young age and coming from such a violent family and never really having been shown any love before.

we often talk about yuji’s relationship with nanami and megumi’s relationship with gojo, rightfully so, but we don’t talk enough about yuji’s relationship with gojo and the significance of it. yuji really looked up to gojo, he admired him. it’s shown all throughout the first season. and this scene hit hard. yuji desperately calls out for gojo, reaching out in vain, to his mentor, his sensei…. it’s a testament to the bond they shared and the impact gojo had on yuji’s life in such a short amount of time.

after everything yuji went through in shibuya, to lose the one person he thought was invincible to it all, the one person he thought could win every battle thrown at him…this was the final blow of shibuya. him reaching out in desperation to not lose another person he loved.

jujutsu kaisen is tragic all the way through. it’s hard to handle at times. it’s not just about cool battles and fancy fights. it also about exploring the complex relationships between characters, shining light on the complexity of a broken system, and delving into the weight that each of its characters carry in their hearts because of their experiences.

it’s heartbreaking.
