[Note - Elijah's name from Esther is unchanged as Esther had given Freya and Finn the right to pick her new baby's name however when Freya was taken Esther couldn't bare to used the name Freya choose so she was given the name Finn picked.]
Lady Elijah - Elijah is born a girl, it changes much and little at the same time. Eylaug Mikaelsdottir was born in the shadow of her older sister's loss, she will never escape that weight but to those born after her she's the only oldest sister they have.
The 'only' daughter until Rebekah was born and always a failure when measured against her 'dead' older sister.
She found a way to adapt to it, to become sharper, it left her meaner.
Mikael refused to pay her any attention when she wasn't near death until his tiny daughter demanded he train her and he gave in. If the girl wanted to be treated like a son so he would.
(This was the start of her growing more ruthless and colder than her canon male self.)
Despite being treated like a son by Mikael she still kept her duties as oldest daughter and had looked forward to marrying to start a family of her own. Finn under Esther's order made sure none of her relationship grew, later bring Klaus and Kol into it.
She fell hard for Tatia and when it was returned, Klaus had planned to marry Tatia so he could have both the most wanted woman in the village and his older sister.
Becoming vampires and Rebekah telling her of their brother's actively ruining her relationship simply made the mess between her Finn and Klaus worse.
She switches between enabling Klaus and using Finn to back her up against him, meaning she regularly undaggers Finn as well as helping lure Finn back for Klaus to dagger at times.
At some point she took Finn's advice to leave Klaus and try for a live outside their family.
She had no memory of those years other than knowing that she's missing years and has scars she hadn't before until Silas broke the lock on her memories that Dahlia left when she collected her firstborn and killed Elijah's husband and complete coven.
Klaus wasn't subtle about wanting to raise Marcel with her.
Daughters are a light. - Following the lost of Freya, Mikael and Esther were gifted with four more daughters before the birth of their youngest and second son Henrik.

Mikael's little artist, she took learning the truth about her parentage and his refusal to look at her badly and killed Esther in a rage.
She's determined to break the curse binding her other half, after all if she lost her father then she should at least have the power that coast her him.
Took the name Niklaus after she noted Elijah had far more respect before they learned she was a woman. Lashes out at the sexism of the world around them hardest, and yet is swayed easily by the right compliment.
Tends to steal her sisters' lovers, bedding them and then killing them, using the fact they fell for her as a reason she had to kill them, for her sisters' sakes.
While she did try to mother Marcel, he tends to view her more as his father, as she spend much of his childhood dressed and acting as a man.
Followed Klaus' example of picking a man's name because she enjoyed the shock when people learned the truth.
She enjoys using her looks to charm men to get what she wants, as much as she has fun making a mess of them afterwards.
Has several times joined a nunnery to make her way seducing every nun in them.
She's most annoyed by Elijah's habit of playing nursemaid to her old husbands and has a habit of throwing them out of windows.
Reincarnation Woes -On the night Mikael struck down his children, Elijah managed to grab one brother and run, sixteen years later Kol desperately tries to repay the favour and save his brother.
He failed or so he thought until years later he meet the eyes of his son and finds his brother looking back, starting a cycle.

Elijah used the confusion in the aftermath to escape back to the compound and in doing so outed Kol's secret.
In their final moments Elijah and Klaus were given a simple choice, a chance to do it all over again, they accepted.
A chance to use their knowledge of the future to change their family's lives for the better, to make up for their mistake before the make them,how could they refuse.

She's determined to find her Elijah, Frigga now, and reunite her with their family,to her siblings' bemusment.
