The Prep // Creston Mare // One Shot
As soon as the train lurched to a stop, Creston was pulled from his room and whisked through the station. Being from a Career district, everyone in the Capitol was excited to see he and Fantasea. The walkway was lined with brightly colored people and flashing cameras. He had never seen so many screaming people. It was disgusting that they got so excited about children dying.
Once he made it inside the Prep Center, three of these brightly colored, chirping birds rushed to him and started their prep. After two hours of scrubbing, waxing, and plucking, they finally left the room. As Creston sat alone in the room, he thought about how he would handle his stylist. He could go with his usual off-putting, angry persona, or he could try to dig out his former charming persona.Â
Finally the door knob turned and a woman entered the room. She was the most normal-looking person Creston had seen so far, but she still had some Capitolesque qualities.
"Hello, I'm Oceaina," she introduced herself. "I'll be your stylist." Creston couldn't help but notice her beauty, and the parade was the best way to attract sponsors. Therefore, he decided to be as charming as possible and make friends with Oceania.
"It's very nice to meet you. I'm Creston," he said with a smile as he extended his hand. Â
"It is lovely to meet you as well," Oceaina replied. "Now let's get down to business. The parade is the first time everyone will see you, and we want to make an impression. Now, I have a view ideas I want to run by you." She reached into a bag and pulled out what looked like shiny fish scales.
Creston groaned on the inside but showed a fascinated smile on the outside.
