HAYLEY MARSHALL / @becomingfracturedââ
the familiar voice of the lebeau who had always been kind to her sent a rush of relief flowing through her. nick had welcomed her into the pack in a way that not many had, she was extremely grateful for his acceptance. while she was gone hayley thought excessively about the pack that she had left behind, the pack that was missing an alpha, the pack that she had sworn to protect and look out for, her pack. as soon as she had gotten a handle on herself, hayley had purchased the property she had told the pack she would. now she just had to let them all know. it would help hayley relax if she knew that they all had a vampire free safe space they could be. the hybrid offered him a reassuring smile, â you never have to worry about me, kid. â granted she had been incapacitated of sorts during her absence. â no one can keep me down for very long. â and that had always been the case, and she intended it stay that way. she wasnât going to get into the gory details of her disappearance with nick, he didnât need to know. but she wanted to assure him she was not going anywhere again. â iâm glad to see you too. have you been alright ? â her smile widening at his excitement to see her. â iâm sorry for disappearing, â not that it was her fault, but leaving was not ever her intention and she feared that the pack would assume that of her. while apologies were rare for the woman, nick deserved nothing but her own kindness, what she had of it anyway. â wasnât by choice, but itâs been handled. and, good news, i got that place i was talking to you about. if youâre still interested thereâs a room with your name on it. â @crescentbornâ
despite her smile, his own diminished at her words and a stubborn shake of his head accompanied it. âthatâs--- donât say that, that isnât what family does-- i mean pack but well, same thing. we donât NOT WORRY about each other. no matter how strong or badass.â despite himself a light teasing knocked into his tone, along with the smile reawakening cause he couldnât help it, he was so relieved. âwe look after each other, all of us. that includes worrying, okay?â big eyes, one could call them puppy dog eyes, stared back at her with the plea to understand. he wouldnât be not worrying about her anytime soon. âoh me?â the question took him aback, cause nick himself didnât really think about it often. being anything other then there for the ones he loved wasnât a concern of his. âiâve been worried.â he told her honestly. ânot just about you, if it makes you feel any better. everyone has been missing, itâs--- â a pained tone to his voice, he really didnât mean for it but he couldnât help it. âi miss them.â oliver, jackson, grayson, no one seemed able to stay put. was the pack not enough? was HE not enough? âreally?â heâd been bunking with aiden, more or less. but nick had been a bit prickly with his brother ever since their conversation about oliver. the thought of being less of a burden, being able to avoid aiden, it all wrapped into one nicely. âi--iâd love that, thank you.â
