Creloise Spooktacular 2025

Dearest Gentle Reader,

Welcome to the main blog for the fandom mini-bang Halloween event: the Creloise Spooktacular 2025! This author is keen to inform you of the Ton's latest goings-ons, and this event is assuredly a highlight of the Spooky Season.

Themed after All Hallow's Eve (or Halloween, as some of you may call it), Creloise shippers are invited to create their own hauntingly beautiful fanfiction and fan art about the Ton's own Cressida Cowper and Eloise Bridgerton.

Are there rules, you ask? Dear reader, this author is too busy keeping abreast of the Ton's dark secrets, lest other creatures lurking in the night take us by surprise. That being said, I do have a few guidelines for how the event will proceed:

Fic and art will be posted or linked to within an AO3 Collection managed by the event moderators. Any fic or art submissions are due to the collection between October 27 and October 31, the final week of October.

This blog will share the official link to the AO3 collection when it is time. On that collection, writers are free to post their fics, which will be approved and added by a moderator. Art can be hosted on Tumblr and will be reblogged by this blog. Since AO3 is intended to be a text archive, it does not do the best job at hosting visual art.

This is a Creloise fic and art event, meaning other ships as the main pairing will not be added to the collection. That being said, other pairings are welcome to make an appearance as supporting cast.

There are no specific prompts you need to follow, but there is a prompt list available on this blog if you would like some ideas! Just try to stick with the overall theme of the Spooky Season!

You are welcome to to write fic of any rating: from G all the way up to E. Be as kinky or as vanilla as you like.

This author would like to thank all of you who participated in the 2025 Creloise Spooktacular. I love this fandom so much and the people who write for it are so talented and dedicated to their craft.

Mind the tag for graphic depictions of violence, though a majority of that violence is Eloise and Cressida being a feral werewolf and vampire. That's right, this is a monster romance featuring Eloise as a newly turned werewolf and Cressida as a savy Vampire living in New York City circa 1925. I have a penchant for overly complex AUs.

If the fandom regulars are still around next year, perhaps we will run the event again :)

This author is thrilled to announce that the Creloise Spooktacular Collection on AO3 will be open for submissions one week earlier than planned, starting on October 20. Please keep in mind that you will still have until October 31 to submit anything you like to it. Some of our writers have made several contributions to submit to the collection and wanted to spread out the fun.

And for all of you still working on your contributions to the Spooktacular, you might delight in seeing the first of a series of Bingo cards being developed for the event. This is the "Safe for Work" edition, a series of tropes, tags, and themes common to Creloise works that you are welcome to hunt for across fics and art created for the spooktacular. And who knows--perhaps an artist or writer might find themselves inspired to include a little snippet in their work just because.

October is upon us, so once again I thought I should inform you of the approaching event, the Creloise Halloween Spooktacular. For those of you out of the loop, I humbly refer you to this author's own blog, where you might catch up on the rules and prompt list of potential story and art ideas.

As a reminder, submissions will be open on AO3 and will be reblogged here starting on Monday, October 27 and will run all the way through Friday, October 31. Do you have a prompt in mind?

Remember, you do not need to use one of this author's prompts if you have your own spooktacular ideas you wish to explore. But there is something else I wished to share with you all.

As we get closer to the big reveal, we will be circulating bingo boards for event participants to use. The goal for them is simple: read as many fic or view whatever art you like and, if you see an element in either of them that fits a bingo square, mark it off!

There will be multiple different bingo boards to play from, including one for more...sensual themes for the adventurous participant.
