God will not give you so much temptation that it will force you into idolatry, sin, or at the extreme fall away from Christ. He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, or to rephrase, will not give you more temptation than you can handle.

The key word is temptation.

Absolutely we are given more than we can handle every day. That is the reality of living in what Christians call a 'fallen' world. A world with sin and pain and badness because humans rejected God. We can handle it better by relying on our friends and family, and on God, but life is tough and the Bible never says life will be easy because of sin. Humans were not designed to live in a world with suffering and pain. That's why Jesus had to come, actually. Jesus died on the cross so that people could be set free from sin, and eventually go to be with The Lord in the perfect non-fallen New Creation (what some people call heaven, it's effectively this universe but if it had no evil or suffering or pain in it)

So yeah, lame phrase said by people who should care and love more than they do misquoted from the Bible's actual phrase which is not dismissive of hurt because that's not what it's about at all.

Personally the phrase feels like an excuse so you don't have to be bothered with the actual messy human lives of other people.

So The Lord gave the Devil, Adam, and Eve punishments. They would now die.

Sin is the reason for suffering and fallenness. Death is a result of the punishment of sin.

He made the rules, for our good - don't murder others, don't abuse others, give to the poor, look after those in need, don't steal, etc. It's to help us live good happy lives where we all collectively under his right rule look after each other and care for each other. He wants us to live good happy lives. Enforcing rules is not inherently bad.

Because we have evil/misguided institutions and governments in this world, it's really easy to apply that logic to The Lord, but He is not like those people/ organisations. He is perfect. Perfectly just, perfectly loving, perfectly merciful, perfectly good, perfectly pure.

Justice as a concept is good, institutions are bad and pervert 'justice' to do bad things (incarcerating the wrong person, making bad rules to harm others etc) But the Lord doesn't do those things. He uses justice perfectly.

The sheer lack of Raphael gifs on this site makes me wanna cry. Took me an hour to find something I could use here 😭

Anyways, here's our newest kiddo! I really threw all of my chips into the "Raphael becomes a knight and/or eventually opens an inn with his family in most endings" and built the design around that, for the most part. I neglected to add much armor since she would be spending less time out fighting and more time working at the inn. That's not to say she doesn't know how to fight; she's absolutely her father's child.

By the way, to the anon who asked last year, this is my Soleil archetype. She's a charmer, for sure, and doesn't discriminate on who she gives that charm to. It kinda presents itself like "southern hospitality" here in the States, where everyone gets called "honey," "sugar," and "sweetheart" - and whether they're serious or not entirely depends on what they say afterwards 😂

The return of the Beastkin species from the Gamecube/Wii/DS games! It took me forever, but I'm loving the results so far. Taking a considerable amount of inspiration from the Wolf Laguz, Taguel, and Wolfskin peoples, I wanted to make an all new class that could potentially fit into the world of Three Houses and Three Hopes.

Granted, this is actually a species I just made, but it is possible to gain the class through in Abyssian Exam Pass for this reason: you don't actually become this species, but learn to fight like it. This is mainly driven home by the inclusion of weapons proficiencies alongside brawling (aka, the use of gauntlets and weapons to substitute for claws and fangs).

Abyss is home to all sorts, even those from across the sea... like the beast tribes.

I have written up some simple lore for them which gets significantly more information with the inclusion of my oc Viktorya (who you may have seen on my page before). It's why I wanted to get this class done before I started working on her timeskip designs.
