We put our cat down today. I loved her very much and she was very old - she had what I think were liver spots on her ear, which I hadn't really had a chance to study until she was sedated at the vet. I miss her, in the sense that I am glad she is no longer suffering, but I wish she were still here, literally, even though she is dead, which is a hard thing to wrap my head around. Anyway. Sometimes we find emotional truth in difficult times.
