          “ OF COURSE ! ”   creator graces his hand with a squeeze of her digits, gentle / reassuring in the wake of his unease.  he seems nervous.  how can i lift his spirits?  “ are you free after class today?  unless you’ve got training or something — ! ”

          “ like this? ”  drawing her foot back, yaoyorozu widens her stance, holding the blade at her hips’ level.  “ it feels more balanced this way. ”  she practices pivoting on her feet, shifting stances, before changing her grip to only one hand.  in a lightning quick thought, she’s mentally reciting the molecular compounds she needs to generate steel.  a dazzling silver shield is born form her torso, and it falls into her free hand.  “ i think my shield wielding could use a little work too, ” she admits with nervous giggle, shamefully remembering how quickly tokoyami demolished her tiny shield in the sports festival.  “ although i know how to make weapons, my technique isn’t always flawless. ”

          yaoyorozu takes the command she was bred to hold, truly a leader’s blood occupying her veins.  the endangered civilians are scattering into unsafe areas, and she’s rushing herself to quickly build concrete safehouses for them to take cover in as the acid-spewing monster leaks fluid carelessly from his mouth.  “ we have to save these people FIRST, and prevent damage !  i am NOT about to let you be arrested over this ! ”

          YAOYOROZU SETS HER HANDS ON THE HILT OF STEEL   blade with her own iron grip / fingers curl tightly around the handle.  her stance widens, knees bent, and onyx hues glance over to the blond across from her / looking for validation.  “ like this, right ? ”  the younger student fakes a couple swings, slashing at the air as if it were a valiant opponent.  it's not as if she's never used a sword, but advanced sword skills weren't something she had to focus on in training her quirk.
