He had been focused on being ANGRY at the people watching them, that her question got him OFF of guard. He wasn’t expecting it, the question suddenly made things WORSE than they were. A frown is suddenly made on his face, showing that he was getting ANNOYED.   “ I thought on WHY NOT,  ‘s not like I actually think this would go BAD, or somethin’? ”  he asks, surprised that sounded like a fucking question… he kicked himself mentally. He took a breath,   (  Start again, you fuckin’ idiot.  )   he moved with the music, taking a bit to actually reply, like how she asked,   “ Jus’ wanted to, why would you even ASK, anyways ? ”

He didn’t want to LOOK at her, he couldn’t stand it. Mostly because he knew, that everyone was suddenly WATCHING him firmly… the giggles, the whispering, if he knew this would have gotten this BAD… he probably would NEVER agreed to it… but, here he was. Doing the STUPID dance… because he actually wanted a stupid dance. 

OF  COURSE !          he’s deflective at first ; she expected it. then he opens up again , a moment of silence before she realized his question. eyes widened a bit / it was something she had  also  wanted.     the stupid dance , that is.     she’d brush it off as a joke , teasing him a bit at the top of the dance. whatever . . . she was here now , actually enjoying this.          (   to say she knew about her slight crush would be  inaccurate.  she ignored it , called it just . . . a strong friendship : she liked being around him , despite his rough exterior.   )          uraraka’s eyes widened , lost in thought while she figured out her answer to his question.          SHE  DIDN’T  WANT  TO  LIE  ,  BUT . . .
