“Uh, who the hell are you?”

“I could ask the same question. Wanna let go of my arm?“

“Yeah, I’m seeing someone. Have been for quite a while now actually,”

“Which one is he?“

“Excellent,” she smiled again. “Oh but Adelaide, that sounds exactly like one of my books,” that wistfulness had made it into her voice as she replied. 

Drina went very quiet for a moment, her gaze drifting out of the window, “Yes, I suppose I would,”

Adelaide laughed softly and rolled her eyes but she couldn’t stop a smile from forming as she thought of Monty. “We need to get you a boy toy, Drina.”

“Good, because there are two men in this clan that wouldn’t take kindly to it,” she replied, still amused 

“Two? I could guess Bayard but who else? Are you seeing someone?“

“Why do you care if I meet him?” she repeated

“Why should I answer you when you haven’t put any thought into answering mines?“

“Then I can borrow one?” she asked with a smile. A wistful look came onto her face, loving the idea of someone traveling across the world to be with the person they loved. To her it was like something out of a novel. “You will really break with your father if he does not accept dear Monty?”

“I’m sure no one would mind if you did.“ She smiled wider. “I know that look. Monty and I, are nothing special or out of one of your stories. We’re just two people who happened to find each other.“

It took her a moment to stop laughing enough to reply, “So wrong,”

“Oh. Okay. Sorry? I wasn’t implying anything or trying to start a rumor.“

“Why do you care if I meet him?”

“Why are you being so tough and unreasonable?“

“I shall have to remember that, in fact I shall have to buy one!” she gave the other girl a sincere smile, “Oh, me too! It has been so strange without you around,” Drina reached across the table for the other girls hand, “I do not like it, and your father definitely does not either,” 

  “No, not at all. We have them all over the house.“ Adelaide laughed. “I wanted to be with Monty. The quicker he accepts it the higher the possibility he’ll be able to stay in my life.“

“Yeah…” He patted her shoulder in pity and continued packing his bag. “I’m still gonna lay low. You guys don’t need rats on your asses when your dad is here, and this little shit head is not letting up. As much as I want to see Monty incinerated by your dad’s mere gaze. Maybe I can get Bayard to film it.”

“I don’t need your pity Churchill. This means alot to me and Monty. I want him to see how happy I am her and to meet my new friends.“

“What does that look mean?“

“I have no reason to meet him,”

“I want you to meet him. That should be reason enough.“

“Ace…” He pressed his forehead to hers. “Are we telling him this time? That we want to stay?”

“Yes. Yes. We’re going to tell him. And there’s nothing he can do about it here. Sirius won’t let him, right?“

“The rain shower just came out of no where!” she said, using the tea towel a waiter had given her to dry off a little, “And I wasn’t expecting rain so of course I didn’t have an umbrella with me,”

“I’m pretty sure I couldn’t escape him if I tried.”
