“I didn’t just imagine this, right? You guys saw this too, right?”

“Yes, what the… Two Mikos?!”

“Is that normal?”

“Beep-bi-bi-beeeep!”

“What just happened?!”

“There you are! We heard you guys were bored to death, so we thought we should come visit!”, the teenage girl announced loudly and attempted to skip over to them, but was stopped by Bulkhead carefully placing his big foot in Miko’s path.

The teen stopped in her tracks and quizzically looked up at the green wrecker. “What gives Bulk?”, she demanded to know, but her guardian wasn’t paying attention to his charge instead he was warily looking at Soundwave.

Bumblebee beeped a few times, whereupon Raf immediately translated his guardian’s words to the other teens.

“Bee says that we should be careful around Soundwave.” The boy looked nervously at said decepticon, before his gaze got caught by the sparkling in his arms. Raf shoved his glasses further up his nose as he stared curiously at Serenade.

“What do you mean? I thought he isn’t a threat for the time being with the truce in place and all that stuff!”, Miko protested and gestured wildly at the tall communication officer across the clearing.

“Alright…”, her sire mumbled, before he asked something else after a short silence: “Can you at least tell me if you remember your real parents?”

Her first instinct was to nod, but she quickly froze and stared down at her lap where Ravage’s head was still resting instead. She absentmindedly started to pet the cat’s head. She knew she had human parents before and even though she couldn’t remember their names or their looks anymore she still remembered their personalities. But Jazz wasn’t asking about her human parents, he didn’t know anything about that. He was talking about the parents of this body’s previous inhabitant. No, she didn’t have any memories from before she woke up in the space-pod that would concern her life in this new world.

So she looked up again and stared firmly into Jazz’s visor as she shook her head. After a short pause she lifted her hand and first pointed at her sire and then at her carrier.

“Was that your owner?”, Sansy asked as he pointed at your retreating form.

Crimson looked over his shoulder only to catch a glimpse of your back, before you vanished in the crowd in the hallway. With a small but fond smile he turned back to Sansy and nodded.

“Yeah, that’s Forest.”

“She looks nice”, the smaller bitty remarked and slumped further down on his fluffy pillow.

“Doesn’t just look nice”, Crimson mumbled, before he looked more closely at Sansy. He smirked when he noticed that it looked like the small skeleton would be swallowed up by the pillow any moment. “Ya’re a lazy one aren’t ya?”

“NYEH, AS IF A PATHETIC BEING LIKE YOU WOULD DARE LAY A HAND ON ME, THE TERRIBLE BOSS!”, the Boss bitty taunted with a smug grin on his face.

That fucking asshole! Fine the other didn’t want to listen, so this would be his own goddamn fault! With an enraged growl Crimson pounced on the arrogant bitty and wrestled him to the ground, who yelped out of surprise.

“NO FIGHTING PLEASE!”, the Blue pleaded frantically next to them, but was ignored by Crimson.

Just as he was about to bite Boss a new voice sounded.

The skeleton turned his head and looked at your face, whereupon he could see how your eyes wandered. It was barely noticeable, but your eyes were weakly glowing. Come to think of it why did your eyes glow red? It had to do with your vampirism…

“Why do yar eyes glow red sometimes?”, he whispered his question, so that he hopefully wouldn’t frighten away any animals with his voice.

You paused and looked at him out of the corner of your eyes, before you watched your surroundings again.

“How old are ya exactly?” You briefly looked over your shoulder at Crimson, before you turned back around with a shrug.

“Uh… I stopped counting. I’ve lived over thousand years, give or take.” Your answer caused the skeleton to gasp. Was your age really that surprising? You met many beings who had been even older than you.

“So ya are basically an ancient grandma! Or a relic of some sort.”
