The building around him shook violently, light bulbs crashing from the ceiling, rays of light so bright that you were forced to close your eyes streamed in through the grimy windows and The Doctor was afraid.
He'd never admit it, of course. The light streaming in was causing his eyes to water, and even though he was desperate to see what he had summoned -- what was almost ruining his order of his ways and lives he was trying to save -- he shut his eyes and fell to his knees. Even with shut eyes, he could tell the room got brighter. Every last bulb in the room shattered with electrifying sparks and then --
Silence Darkness. He carefully opened his eyes and looked up, shocked to see a woman standing before him. The Doctor rose to his knees and brushed some stray pieces of glass off of his shoulder.
"Who the bloody hell are you?" He asked, his voice hoarse.

"So! Valentine's Day. Are you feeling dance-y or hungry or maybe a little flirty?" The Doctor asked, grinning from ear to ear. He held a bouquet of flowers behind his back, hoping that she wasn't on to his surprise.
❝Have I got to choose? Why not all three?❞
Her every syllable challenged him, dared him almost, to impress her. Given everything she’s seen and everything that they’ve been through, it should have been next to impossible. But he was the Doctor — perpetually in awe and wonder at the complexities of the universe — and she was Clara Oswald — a woman made of dreams and floating leaves that turned into stories. Quite a pair, they made, and it was never the same thing twice. It should have been impossible — but she supposed that’s just exactly what they were.
Her cheeks hurt for she tried to reign in the smile on her lips. In the end, trying to hold it back was futile for the glee always made its way on her features. As much as she was not a woman who wore her heart on her sleeve, she has learned throughout all the lives she’s lived that joy was simply impossible to hide, whatever the circumstance. So now — Valentine’s Day, of all days — so simple, so meager and minute in the scale of the grander picture — was a day held most dear in its simplicity, in its infinitesimal worth, and a day where she did not have to be a saviour or a damsel in distress. Just a girl, just Clara Oswald — with a man she wanted to make happy as he did precisely that for her.
❝ What sort of trouble have you got for me today, Chin?❞
❝All three?
Always the overachiever, Ms. Oswald.❞
His grip on the flowers behind his back loosened a bit as he swung them around and presented them to Clara with a silly little bow--
--before holding them over her head so that she couldn't reach them. Now, he had never been one for frivolous holiday's such as Valentine's day, but with Clara, he felt frivolous and silly. She brought out lights in his eyes-- that he hadn't seen in gods know how long-- and made him feel whole. If that wasn't cheesy enough for this holiday, he didn't know what was.
It was unmistakable -- those lights in Clara's eyes that he had only had the pleasure of seeing maybe three times before had reappeared and he was officially lost. He had been planning the occasion for the past few weeks, but he wasn't going to let on about that -- after all, he was the spontaneous, never-know-where-I'm-going-to-land Doctor.

my Femme!11 cosplay is coming together nicely. I bought a skirt and a shirt today but I still need a bowtie and suspenders because finding a jacket in 3 weeks would be hell and a half but yeah!!! i’m really excited because con is in like 3 weeks and the girlfriend is going as Clara and we did Ten/Rose last year and now we’re Whouffle so it’s going to be bunches of fun c: I’ll probably post pictures as it progresses but yeah!!
This just in!! My friends mom, who is basically like my second mom, found me a tweed jacket!!! i am so excited i'll post pictures in a little bit or maybe tomorrow night or something i will get pictures to you guys. but yeah i'm really excited. now i' just need a bowtie and i am set for amke.
