For context: a lot of video games use classical melodies in their soundtracks (inclusing Ape Escape 3) because said melodies are old enough to be royalty free, so getting jumpscared by Tomouki's boss theme Bach Invention 13 was something I should had expected to happen at some point in my life

A lot of cosplayers do their costumes just for fun (I know I do), so it is really beyond me how some people feel like it is their job to criticize cosplayers, especially the people who have no idea what a complicated process making a cosplay is. If you really gotta say something, "wow I like character/series X!" and "nice costume!" are better alternatives, but if you really have nothing nice to say, shutting your trap is also a valid option.
