“No, I have mostly just been through the stores and homes. At first a friend and I had looked for someone to answer questions but obviously that didn’t happen so I’ve been just going from place to place, eventually I’ll crash in one if I have to.” He explained. “They freak you out more than an abandoned temple?” 

“yes, they do.” theo answered, eyes warning him not to question her more. he may be stubborn, but she was downright explosive if someone tried to ask questions that attempted to get past the barrier she’d set up. “careful going place to place. you don’t know what you’re gonna find here.”

“It’s not judging if it’s a scientific fact. And you seriously need to chill. It’s not that big of a deal. Smoke all you want,” Ethan chuckled in reply. “Moby Dick for one mini bottle of vodka. Two bottles if you relax a little bit.”

“I’ll relax once I’ve had the first vodka, does that count ?” Gloved hands reached into the gym bag she’d packed her things in, and pulled out Moby Dick, handing it to the male whilst holding her other hand out in expectancy of the vodka.

The thought didn’t settle well with Dick who wanted nothing more than to be home and away from the unfamiliar. He turned to the woman as he opened a cabinet slowly, nothing good as she said which annoyed him. “Yeah, you have a point there but what good is that is we have no idea why or for how long? I’m just looking for answers and if that means I got to pick through nothing all night I will.” Dick had a stubborn personality but it was worse when he was out of his element. “So, where are you supposed to be? Morocco? South America? Tokyo?” The last being his winning destination.

“Have you seen the temple ? Definitely Asia, but far too quiet for Tokyo but hey, maybe you’re not too far off there.” Theo mused, glancing around as the clearly stubborn male looked around. “I think we’ll get answers when whoever brought us here wants us to have answers. Until then, we just need to prepare as much as we can. those houses freak me out, I might go to the temple.”

when she heard an approaching voice Boo couldn’t help but be slightly shocked by it, seeing as she hadn’t seen anyone else since she had been put on the raft and send towards the island. However so far the woman seemed kind enough and it was nice to finally see someone else that might have an idea of what was going on. Looking around shortly to see if she could see what the other woman had noticed, Boo chose to look at the positive sides of things once she noticed a few asian pointers herself. “well.. I’ve never been to asia before.” she said, a smile forming on her lips as she spoke.

“me either. though something tells me if we ever get off this island, we won’t be in a hurry to come back.” theo murmured bitterly, wringing her gloved hands with anxiety. “what did you bring with you ? we should get some essential supplies and find somewhere to stay for the night. we don’t know where we are, what the weather’s gonna be like or what’s gonna come out in the dark.”  

“This place obviously has enough abandoned plaes to crash. Which I don’t get, why the hell would they just drop us off at some abandoned town?” He asked knowing the girl probably didn’t have the answer either. No one seemed to. “You don’t know what people have left behind. If that means I can find something useful I’ll take a second out of my day to check. You never know.” He said with a huff. Dick didn’t really know what to expect from this stuff. “I just want to prepare for the worst while I have the chance.”

“something tells me we’ll be here a while, so i guess you do you.” theo shrugged, wondering through the place that she’d already picked clean of the stuff that she thought she’d need. “i guess we should be thankful they dropped us somewhere that has at least shelter and food.” the female knew she should move on and try and find somewhere to stay for the night, at least. but she wasn’t great with big old houses, they reminded her of Hill House and she hated it.

Dick’s face scrunched. “Uh… yeah.” He started only to cross his arms over his chest. “I don’t smoke so you really don’t need to worry about me asking for one. And I’ve been looking for more important supplies than alcohol.” He said quickly only shaking his head. “But this place has been raided so I’m just about to move on after I check the bathroom.”  

              “i already got that, so now i’m just looking for alcohol and then a place to hole up for at least the night.” theodora grinned, brow raising as the other said he’d check the bathroom. “why are you checking the bathroom ? do you not think if someone’s raided here, that includes the bathroom ?”

“It doesn’t rot your liver immediately. It’s all in moderation. Versus cigarettes… a moment on the lips is tar in the… I don’t have a good rhyme for that but you get the picture,” Ethan chuckled to himself as he rifled through his bag. “Just a few bottles. Y’know. Pocket shots. But I could be convinced to part with one of them if you have a good enough book.”

“𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐃?” she believed it to be a fair question. kory was questioning her safety and yet this woman appeared unaffected. then again, kory had tended to be quite an emotional person to say the least. she probably shouldn’t have been judging how much emotion one chose to show. “it is quite an alarming situation, no?” 

Boo walked around looking at her surroundings, each step and new building had her more and more concerned and worried for her own well being, even if she couldn’t deny that she was a tiny bit curios and also excited to discover where she was.— Why she was there. Standing still, she played with the straps on the bag she had been given. Her luggage had long since been ruined when she was on the raft on her way to the island and she had only one other smaller bag with her that had survived the water. “This for sure isn’t Paris.” 

‘‘This is not the Bahamas..’‘ Melinda spoke out loud as she looked around at her surroundings. She opened the backpack she was given and rummaged through it, trying to figure this out. ‘’Is this some of kind sick joke?’’ She pulled out band aids and a lighter. ‘’The fuck.’’ She swore under her breath.

“𝐈…𝐀𝐌 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃," kory responded honestly as she watched the woman light the cigarette. smoking had never been something she was enticed to do, especially not when she was internally freaking out about the current situation. “i do not possess any vodka, either. i am only in search of answers.” was this person also told they would be going to switzerland? and if so, how were they so calm? 

                       “ FIGURED YOURS IS CLOSER AT HAND. “ he offered as he slowly leaned forwards and as he placed it in his mouth he used her light to get it going. he shrugged his shoulders. “ needed a change, felt like i was at the end of a rope, literally ready to jump…. maybe this is bad karma for dark thoughts “ he offered as he looked over towards her. “ never the less here i am. “ 

“Nah, I’m good,” Ethan said shaking his head. “Personally, I find cancer sticks to be a waste of time and lungs. Now vodka on the other hand does have many beneficial uses. Dull the senses… antiseptic… I threw some of those little travel sized nips for my vacation, but I’m not up to sharing unless you have something better to trade than your black lung cylinders.”

“See, I was trying for a fresh start so I stupidly didn’t pack any.” Theo was annoyed at herself for the stupidity of thinking she wouldn’t need it. “Liver rotters are just as bad as cancer sticks, kid. It’ll all kill you in the end.” The female shrugged, looking over the other. “I packed snacks and soda, clothes, books... but what I’d trade would depend on how many of those travel size vodka you have.” 

                          “ well what fun would it be to give us ALL the escentials? wouldn’t be anything to entertain them if someone doesn’t throw a punch or two for some booze. “ he pointed out. as he held the cigarette in his hand he turned towards the older woman and licked his lips, “ can i borrow your light? “ he asked smoothly as he shifted the cigarette in his fingers and then glanced around. “ i was aiming for london, went a little to far i’m thinkin’. “ he added. “ should have known it was bullshit – had no real desire to go anywhere really. “ 

                 JASON’S HEAD GAVE A GRADUAL SHAKE as he moved to pat his chest pocket with ease. “ i always come prepared, don’t go anywhere without ‘em. “ he confessed before he moved to drop his backpack at his feet and moved to sit down near to the woman. “ so where did you think you were off to before you ended up….. “ he waved a hand around them quickly before he tilted his head with ease. “ here… “ he added licking his lips as he looked over towards her slowly drawing a cigarette from his pocket carefully.
