very important core of zoe’s character is her love for her little brothers and her dedication to them.
there was a point while s2 was airing where i thought the trajectory of the season was obvious, but set the groundwork for rich character and interpersonal relationship dynamics that even though it seemed like the most straightforward narrative, i thought it was the best option for the show’s longevity. starting off by immediately acknowledging my bias which is i think robby’s character is boring and tying his mental health struggles so centrally to the narrative makes it weaker overall.
with that said, i thought s2 was going to send robby off two or three episodes earlier than the rest of the cast and the episode before the finale would end with robby in a motorcycle accident. obviously he would survive, but the season would end with robby unconscious in recovery or in a coma. this puts the whole crew into new, uncharted territory with robby as a patient under their care and pushes robby’s comfort as a character by stripping his control, not only of the department, but of his physical (and mental) care. putting robby into the position of a patient would also help him resonate more w patients so they could explore patient advocacy, preferably by also highlighting samira as a critical role in doctor’s exercising empathy in their patient care. the writers could even stretch out robby’s mental health struggles since that’s clearly what they want to do by focusing on his physical recovery for the season. i think season 3 needs to be robby’s lowest point so he can narratively recover and maybe then we can get some character arcs that don’t all lead back to robby.
waaaay back when I was a cashier in retail we would talk about dumb shit while unloading the truck, and we got to the "what would you do in a zombie apocalypse" me and another worker were like yeah we would just die. End it all, we can't fight or run or shit. I refuse to put that much effort into survival.
And my manager was like no!!!! If that happened, I would drive to find you guys in my truck and we could eat stuff from my wife's garden and I would make sure everyone I know survived!! I would carry you all on my shoulders away from the zombies!!
Anyway, random shout out to that guy. You were too kind for retail management, Devin.

EMMA CAULFIELD + 🐰 in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (1997-2003) EMMA CAULFIELD + 🐰 in WANDAVISION (2020)
Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.
Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.
No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.
He didn't do it.
The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.
Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?
From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.
fucked up that it seems like i’m eternally trapped between my feelings for friend i love beyond reasonable measure and the friend who loved me without expectation. i have nothing besides feelings btw
stuck on this interaction i had w my brother this weekend where we found out my tires are apparently showing the wires so i need to get new ones. i was reluctant after hearing the price and i asked how long i could go w the ones i have and he’s like “hannah, is your life worth more than $800?” this stupid bitch was surprised my answer was no. what the fuck!!!???
one aspect of freakish i truly despise is their lack of acknowledgment towards race or racial-coded comments like i don’t care that barrett the character has a god-complex when the writers are choosing to include phrases like “you deserve to be with somebody superior” and “you resort to the basest of human behavior [calling lashawn and noodle animals basically].” the writers don’t intend this language to be racist (presumably, because they treat barrett as a sympathetic figure,) but i cringe every time i recall it.

trying to doomscroll on tiktok (i Am trying to do better… no im not 😔) but you can’t like one video abt workplace dynamics (silly and goofy) without getting My Work is Hell videos which is not my experience. i Love working at da library and studying da library science, i am simply the scourge on my own life, that red spot i can never wipe clean.
